Hey guys,
I just went to place a pre-order with rightstuf, and I noticed the format is "Hybrid" and media is "Other". What does this mean? Its not some obscure format is it? My player on does DVDs!
kind regards,
Matt

and Blu-Ray combo. If you want to know for sure, you should E-mail Right Stuf's customer service department. They're good at responding to questions, at least in my experience.I'm fairly sure I'm right though. You shouldn't have any worries if you can play Region 1 discs for DVD
or Region A for Blu-Ray.English dubs rule! Spread the love, raise the profit, get more anime.

The sets are going to have Blu-Ray as well? I was under the impression that Japan didn't even release R+V in Blu-Ray format or am I mistaken? Don't get me wrong though lol I for one would love this in Blu-Ray and keep checking rightstuf to see if it still lists the pack as being DVD.
AFAIK R+V was originally released in Japan on DVD only, but Blu-rays were later released for both seasons. In fact they have been out for quite a while now.
I'm disappointed that we're only getting DVDs here. Hopefully they will sell enough that Funimation will pursue BD licenses too. There seem to be a lot of R+V fans posting comments everywhere (or at least we're quite vocal
).
aiamhu?
I'm at least glad that we have a date now so I can figure out how much I should set aside for R + V. Then there are a couple games coming out in November along with Vol. 1 of Fairy Tail and Vol. 2 in December. Lol this year end is going to break the bank for me and that's not including all the manga series I have to catch up on. XD
Thankyou for the info Richard. Im pretty sure my Player on plays Region 1 DVD's and not Blurays, but as long as this set has DVD's I couldnt give a monkeys :D
BTW I ordered the Combo Package :D
Ah I think I goofed on the whole "it includes Blu-Ray" thing. I think it's just DVD. I was thinking of Baka and Test's release for some reason.
The media listing being "other" may be because of the inclusion of the lenticular card with the LE. Sorry for any miscommunications there. DVD definately is there!
