Re: Romeo X Juliet Series Discussion (Possible Spoilers)
The ending... was painful. I expected it considering what it was based on, but still...
Overall, it was a well done show. Some characters could have used some fleshing out, but as they were support only, it's understandable that they were left on the wayside. The animation was gorgeous as well, although the background music seemed weak at times as I can hardly recall any of it.

At first I was skeptical because I thought it was going to be a lot like the actual book by Shakespeare. I later decided to watch it, and all I can say is WOW! I really enjoyed it. Ten times better then I expected.
Re: Romeo X Juliet Series Discussion (Possible Spoilers)
I can't say I preferred it over the play, but it was very good. Made me feel all girly and romantic. ^^ Kind of wich they could have used the Josh Groban version of You Raise Me Up once or twice though, just to balance it out and have a girl version and a boy version.

...BUMP! My first time doing that.
Anyway, this is a show I've come to really like. It's kind of a Disneyfied version of the original story, which I'm sure would put off some, but it's done really well.
Also, bar none, this is currently Funimation's best dub (of what I've seen at least). The cast is better then the Japanese cast overall, and the Shakesperian tone added to the dub script really improves the show.
