Reapers are the top class of their kind, ranked as s-class or above. This is because Reapers are masters of hand to hand combat, weapon combat, as well as sealing magic. While reaper are immortal they need to consume souls in order to maintain a physical form, many reapers only consume evil souls as they admit more energy. They also have a naturally high defense that has not been defeated in known history. However, reapers cannot do any physical damage to their opponents and only have one offensive ability: the reaper scythe, which can take any form the reaper wills it to take.
