The Year 2013. The Magus society began to shake down on rogue mages, mages not apart of the society are considered failures, and are a threat to magic itself, and must be killed. Within weeks at least 200 mages have been killed. Humans are not that aware of magic's existence.

To leave the Magus order, you have to be forcefully cut off from magic, for a mage this is considered worse than death, many mages grow tried of how the order controls every thing.

The second faction is the Order of God's Hand. A religious order, they believe they are above mage's and that magic is a work of evil, while they don't out right fight the magus, there last war 5 years ago caused mass destruction. They do oppose mages, and lately tensions have been high, this is believed to be the cause of the Magus cracking down even harder on rogue mages, as it seem's they are nothing more then ammo for the God's Hand to use against them.

The Final Faction are the Executors they are a order of assassins, mage slayers. They make a profit by working for what ever group pays them more for missions. They are nothing more then a merc group, they will kill for the highest bidder, they are trained to highly resist magic, and have anti-magic weapons.

You can be apart of either of the 3 factions or faction less you don't have to be a mage, you can be what ever you want.
