Mary, after her next class, had retrieved the two pieces of toast left from her locker and walked by the cafeteria, and upon passing the doorway noticed Minoru and Shinjiro arguing loudly about some matter. She slipped in and stood in the shadows of a corner, unnoticed, and watched, annoyed at her inability to acquire a language quickly. Minoru was apparently saying something really bad, because Shinjiro looked furious and was about to punch him, when Tatski stepped in and took the hit for Minoru. Mary was surprised, but maybe not. She knew how Tatski was. But Minoru - she hoped he had apologized when he walked to the table Tatski was seated at. She really, really hoped he apologized. When Shinjiro left, Mary weaved through the crowd and sat beside Tatski, completely ignoring the stares. She held out a piece of the toast to Tatski as she began munching on hers, asking, "What happened?" Some girl came up to Mary, looking disgusted, and took her arm and whispered, "(Come on, don't sit by this weirdo, come sit with us.)" The whisper sounded loud in the quiet cafeteria. Mary turned to the girl. She hadn't understood the girl, but the look on her face and the gentle tug on Mary's arm said enough. Mary gave that girl a death stare of an amazingly frightening magnitude, and the girl whimpered and scuttled back to her respective table, terrified.

(Zanji accepted. blahlala ) -Yay we got a male- XD How do you pronounce that name?
After sitting there for a minute or two alone, Mary-chan came over and sat beside me. She looked at me concerned holding out a slice of toast. "What happened?" A pissy princess immidiately came over trying to get Mary-chan to leave me and sit with her. Apparently my assumptions of my outbursts labeling me a weirdo was correct, but Mary-chan gave her an evil death glare of doom and she skitted away like a bug. http://metanorn.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Blood000181-650x365.jpg
I smiled at Mary-chan. ("You're sa cool, ya'know. Haha, don't you find me a slight bit odd?") She smiled at me and handed me the slice of bread, I smiled and took it. (I guess that means yes, but I guess she likes me that way) I busted out laughing. She laughed at me, then asked again what had happened. ("Uhm, well, I'm not entirely sure myself. They were fighting and I jumped in without even thinking, certainly not something that is frequent of me, haha, but I got hit instead and then Shinjiro brought me over here and I think they were fighting about something Minoru said about me, but I'm not entirely positive *sigh*") I laid my head on the table munching on the piece of toast and twirling the bottle to a colder side. I jerked my head up. ("Oh yeah. Are you going to go to that Host club thing today? I'm dragging Shinjiro along with me, should be entertaining, hehe. Oh I wonder if he'll still go after that. hmmm? He might not. Oh well, what do ya say?")
-Oh what times do you guys usually post, just a tid bit of info-
ME- late at night 9-1
(hmmm depends on what time zone. if eastern time - morning around possibly 8 or afternoon around possibly 5, maybe 6, sometimes 7, sometimes 8, 9 definitely, 10 probably, 11 on weekends)
(oh haha the death glare was a lot more terrifying. Mary's good, like really good, at death glares. This one was too terrifying for words to describe...)
Mary said, "Host club? What host club? I don't think I ever heard about a host club...?" She continued to munch on her toast, making it last as long as possible, as she thought about this. She may go, but only if Tatski was going. She wouldn't want to go back to her aunt. If it's sooner or later, than later let it be. But, she wouldn't want to go either if there wasn't anyone there she knew. So it was settled, then. In her mind, at least. She would go if Tatski did, and start on those books Minoru gave her in the courtyard if Tatski didn't go. Simple.
(haha sorry such a short post... im a bit rushed now... i don't know why i feel the need to apologize...)
(haha that's okay, mehz understandz)
Lunch passed, with me and Mary-chan agreeing to attend the host club together, after explaining to her about Tamaki's poster that she had gotten the day before, then into art class I went. When I walked in I didn't see Shinjiro, so I walked over to his flunkies. "Hey you guys. Where's Shinjiro at, I needed to ask him about something?" The boys looked at me with a mix of annoyance and amusement. "Don't look at me like that. Do you know where he is?" They just sat there staring and laughing a bit when two red headed boys walked up to me. It was the twins from the host club.
"We saw him."
"Just outside of the chem. lab." The two creepily stated a complete sentence, smiling devilishly for some odd reason.
"Uhm, thanks, you guys." I blankly stared at them and then ran out of the room to the chem. lab and as they said, there he stood, spaced out looking into the window of the chem. door. I walked up to him. "Why aren't you in class Shinjiro?" He looked over to me, a bit spooked.http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MsAgIG_jZxs/Tke2IzUSnvI/AAAAAAAAASg/8hG-MTodBjM/s1600/BlueBalls.jpg <- just the guy in front))
His tension easing up, after looking me in the eye, but he looked away quickly.
"I just, I was, I embarrassed myself is all. I just didn't want you to look at me." He stare now gazing to the ground. Although a good actor, he was lying.
" That's bull." I looked over into the chem lab window. Looking through the students I saw Minoru amongst them. "What, were you gonna start something again?" He looked at me and sighed.
"Jeez, I know I'm a bit of goof ball and I can get out of hand sometimes, but have a little faith. Ya' know I think he was dead on on some of the points he brought up to me earlier." I looked at him accusingly.
"Oh yeah, and what would those points be exactly?"
"Oh, just that you jump to the oddest of assumptions." I gruffed up.
"Well excuse the hell outta me for bein' odd! That's just how I tend to be, or at least tend to be labeled." I sighed. "Why do people judge so much on who someone is? Why can't they just live their own little lives and just completely ignore me? That would be bliss." He looked up at me with a serious look.
"What, you want to be left completely alone?" I laughed it off.
"Not exactly, no. I'm just tired of all the prissy pants thinking that they deserve everything, even the friendship of the people who don't want to be around them." He looked to the side grinding his teeth.
"Tch, I see. You want nothing to do with me, at all." My eyes widened in shock. (How the hell did he come up with that conclusion!)
"What?" He turned his back to me.
"Don't worry Miss Haruka, I won't be bothering you anymore."
" What on earth are you talking about? If you're acting like this because you hit me don't worry about it, you didn't mean to do it!"
"Never mind, I'm going." He started to walk away. I latched onto his hand.
"Hey! What is wrong with you?! You're not a prissy pants, what's your problem?!"
"I don't have a problem!" He jerked his hand back. I was holding so tightly that he drug me forward, somehow placing me in front of him, making us both fall over onto the floor. He caught himself from landing on top of me. I laid there for a moment my eyes close and my head hurting. When I opened my eyes, hovering over me was Shinjiro.
I was blushing. I had never had a guy this close to me before, especially with me being in such a defenseless position.
When I looked up at him he was blushing too. We were both at a stand still, we didn't know what to do. All of a sudden a flash of light hits down on us It snapped us out of the blah we were in, turning our attention to the light. Around the corner of the hall came the twins, carrying a camera, that they had just taken a picture of us with. "Tsk tsk you two. What kind of place do you think this is?" The two walked up to us, the two of us finally getting up out of the floor.
"Hikaru! Kaoru! Hand it over!" Shinjiro chased the two in a circle in the hallway grasping towards the camera.
"Oh, but why? The two of you looked cute together like that."
"You did, you did. My brother and I only have welfare for your forbidden love." I looked at them oddly.
"Forbidden.....love? What?!" The two went into a dramatic play.
"The love of two boys."
"Making it's way through the tides of discrimination."
"Putting forth the ground to the future." They were pissing me off.
"Shut up! I'm not a boy! I can make life, all you do is piss in my cheerios!" They both looked up and laughed, falling to the floor.
"What kind of defense was that?!" While they were on the floor Shinjiro took the opportunity to grab the camera. His face becoming devilish, eyes in the shape on diamonds, and fire coming up from beneath him.
"What the hell were you two trying to prove? (grrr)" Their laughing fading, they wiped the tears from their eyes.
"We just got bored." Hikaru looked bummed about the camera, Kaoru still just laughing.
Mary's next class was chemistry. Those in the chem. lab were completely oblivious to the commotion outside, and Tatski had probably not recognized Mary because she had already had on her lab coat and goggles. They were to do a lab today involving hydrochloric acid. Mary was a bit nervous, as the acid is corrosive, and they were not provided gloves. Her hands, though, were calm and accurate when she prepared the equipment. Her teacher paired her with Minoru, which was strange, because she had not noticed him in the chem. class before. He was different today - more quiet, pensive, and refusing to look Mary in the eye. Mary measured the acid with great care, asking, "You understand English quite well, right?" Minoru nodded as he struck a match and carefully held the small flame to the candle, the glare of the light on his goggles rendering it impossible for Mary to see his eyes. Mary stoppered the flask with the acid and said simply, "What did you say about Tatski?" Minoru looked up sharply from testing the lit wood splint over a flask that contained a nail (galvanized zinc) - Mary carefully kept her eye on the flame - with a question in his furtive eyes. Mary said nonchalantly as she replaced the stopper, "It's pretty obvious it was about Tatski. You even said her name. Twice. And then Shinjiro got all defensive about it and accidentally hit Tatski. By the way, when did you find out what her name was?" She took notes, and as an afterthought, added humorously , "Do you think he likes her a bit?" Minoru grinned and nodded, and relaxed after that. He tried to explain the situation to Mary - and to some avail, too. He poured the acid into the flask with the nail, and, immediately replacing the stopper, he said in broken English, "I... was talking... with a friend... about that time in the... hall... saying Tatski... mean... too fast to jump to... conclusions(?)... pig-headed... bad-tempered... not so strong or smart... scrawny(?) for a boy... found out later was a girl... Shinjiro came over... yelled at me... why yell at me for my own opinion?... said as much... he furious... and yeah. I said sorry... well, sort of..." Mary finished recording observations on the fizzing acid, then reached to remove the stopper and test the wood splint that Minoru had lit. When she removed the stopper, she was startled by a loud "pop", and she nearly dropped it in surprise. Around the room, students were cringing at the loud sound, and many more "pops" followed, produced by other students' experiments. Minoru was surprised as well, but he proceeded in inserting the flame into the neck of the flask, which subsequently and immediately fogged up. Mary stoppered the flask with an air of finality, ending the experiment, and said, "I'm glad." A phrase so layered that not even Mary had thought of all of the meanings.
(Haha fun chaos within the chem lab doors XD)
The twins went back to class a little bummed out, while me and Shinjiro sat and talked out what had just happened. "I didn't mean you Shinjiro, jeez. You know I think of you as a friend, otherwise I wouldn't talk to you." He was fiddling with the twins camera, trying to figure out how to delete the pictures.
"Really? I knew you were blunt, but, jeez. Do I feel stupid now."I laced my fingers behind my head and stared out the window.
"Well, you should. What were you thinking about to come out with that, anyway?" He laid the camera down, extending his arms and cracking his knuckles.
"Nothing really, just trying to figure out why I flipped the way I did. I'm usually way harder to piss off than that, ya' know." I looked away, with a cocked grin and a sigh.
"Heh, yeah. For some reason that's hard for me to believe." He stared at me suspiciously. "What?"
"You've known me for not even two days." I looked up at the ceiling.
"So, I get attached to people quickly, what's your point." He laughed, surprised at my naivety.
"I could be a pervert for all you know!" I laughed thinking something devious. "What?"
"Hehehehe. You are a pervert." He clutched at his chest.
"Madam, you wound me." He grinned.
"*chuckle* I only state the facts." We busted out laughing and we couldn't hear the bell.
"When are you gonna give that back to them anyway." I said pointing to the camera. He started fiddling with the buttons again.
"Whenever I figure out how to delete these infernal pictures!" I looked over at the camera, then held out my hand.
"Here, let me see if i can figure it out." After a small bout with it he handed it over to me.
" *sigh* Take the infernal thing. It's gonna give me an ulcer. I started to shuffle through the pictures, Shinjiro watching over my shoulder. About as soon as I did a wave of students came pouring from the chem lab.
Mary explained Tatski's view on things as she cleaned up the lab with Minoru, relieved that the hydrochloric acid and zinc had been turned into hydrogen and zinc-chloride. Minoru understood. Mary rinsed out the beakers and flasks, while Minoru tidied everything else. Man, flasks were hard to wash. When she hung the flasks to dry and replaced the beakers, her hand lost its grip on the slippery surface of a flask, and it fell to the ground. In Mary's head it was in slow motion, and all she could do was watch. But then, a leg was kicked out, and caught the flask in the crook of its foot and leg. Minoru - he had just saved Mary from detention. He kicked up, and the flask flew into the air, leaving Mary nervous and anxious, but the flask landed perfectly on the palm of his upturned hand. He grinned and said, "Football... uh... no... Americans say... soccer." She relaxed into a similar grin.
Mary listened to her professor's last instructions of the day while the bell rang. He released them after he had finished speaking, and the students poured out of the doors. Mary was one of the last few scattered students. Minoru, too. Mary hated being caught into a crowd. It suffocated her.
When she walked out, what she immediately saw was Tatski and Shinjiro sitting on the ground, and gathered around them were a few students who had noticed the pictures on the camera. They were taunting them, harshly, and she might have noticed their cheeks turn bright pink. She grabbed the camera and easily erased the pictures, indifferently glancing at them here and there. They were all really weird pictures, and one of them included Shinjiro and Tatski. Minoru looked over her shoulder, although his face also showed no expression. When the students dissipated, leaving the halls empty, Mary tossed the camera to Shinjiro, gently grabbed Tatski's arm, and pulled her towards their class, leaving Minoru and Shinjiro in the halls. Minoru started to go, but then turned back. He uttered a more decent apology: "(I apologize for upsetting you. I didn't mean to.)" Again, he turned to go.
