As you know, Yu Yu Hakusho Season Four on Blu-ray came out earlier this week. Fans who bought the Blu-ray may be wondering about this nifty card that came with their purchase. This is the limited edition "The Dark One" card from the Yu Yu Hakusho Trading Card Game. The rarest of the rare, we've reprinted this card and included it with the Season Four Blu-ray release. Season Four also contains a special feature that shows you how to build your Yu Yu Hakusho Trading Card deck.
If you're interested in learning more about the game, click here for a free downloadable PDF on how to build a strong, competitive deck.
Don't forget that RightStuf.com is having a special Spirit Gun bundle sale offering Yu Yu Hakusho Season 1 - 4 on Blu-ray for one low, low price. Get it now while you can! This bundle will be discontinued soon.
Now here's a trailer!

The card is no longer being included with the Blu-Ray Season 4.
I checked with some people at the Funimation booth at the Katsucon, and he said that they likely had a limited run. The print run ran out, and so they just decided to keep the original box art without removing the "Dark One Card Inside" bit on the box.
I still play the YYH TCG on Skype with someone. It was and always will be my favorite TCG of all time. I am glad to see The Dark One get reprinted. I actually own an original, but always wanted a playset of it...and now I finally get that chance. I just wish some fans could have a Q&A with Sagar or even Cook (since he seemed to know enough about the TCG) because I wonder if certain promos from Gateway (the 3rd expansion) were ever printed in the alternate foil pattern (Double Rainbow). I guess I might never know the answer to that. Ah well. I'll continue my search for them anyway and assume that they don't exist until I actually find them. Although it's been years since the TCG was discontinued, I still am trying to finish a 1st Edition Foil collection. I am extremely close to doing so. It was nice to see the bonus on the last disc about this.
Seems I have one of the Spirit Gun Doubles signed by Justin Cook that he talked about in the video on the disc. I was wondering whose signature it was. Too bad I don't have a way to tell him I have one and that it's safe and sound, haha.
I want that card and I've never even heard of that TCG! I know enough about TCGs to know that that card is ridiculously and hilariously broken. "Since you are a Yu Yu Hakusho superfan, you can choose a card in play or in your hand and change that card's effect to anything you wish for the remainder of the game." That's just...wow. Just make some card have the effect of "As long as this card is on the field, your opponent must play while standing on his or her head or he or she loses." or something funny like that.
Now I wonder if Funimation will bring back the Fullmetal Alchemist or Case Closed TCGs? That would be cool.
Hilarious. I loved playing the TCG of Yu Yu. Still have most of my decks in working conditions. Lets see I have the Clasic Team Urameshi *Hero Deck*, Tagoro, Rizen, Rizens Alliemnce, Mokuro, Yomi, etc. I have most of th eteams assembled actually. Haven't played in a while. And I only competed in a couple of the tournaments. Didn't do to well, lol.
I actualoy have almost all the TCG cards.
This is hilarious.
Well for starters, after viewing the image, this "The Dark One" is NOT the same "The Dark One" that was printed a while back. That one required you to work for Score Entertainment to errata a card. I remember someone from Score errataing a card to "Your opponent must go buy you a soda." in a gunslinging match or something. Hilarity ensued.
I noticed that the card now says "Panini" instead of the standard "Score", so it definitely is a new printing of the card. Panini bought out Donruss, the parent company of Score, and Score was left behind, along with the card game division. Thus I'm a bit surprised at all this, but in another sense, not because of all the former Score employees now at Funimation.
Kudos to Funimation and Panini for putting this on for us old TCG players who can really appreciate this. However, The Dark One needs to be on the next Banned list... that last effect was only not-absurd since anyone who could use it wasn't allowed to play in tournaments.
Now you're making me want to go play Yu Yu TCG again...
(Oh, and can someone go make a DBZ CCG card? That would be super awesome and appreciated if you guys did! Nostalgia wins, hands down.)
