Oh man. This is the big one. I'm getting nervous just typing it. It almost leaves me speechless. Not only is FUNimation announcing the acquisition of 'the most anticipated series of 2009', we're also going to be streaming the subtitled episodes within days of the Japanese Television Debut. Crazy, huh?! The fans wanted more FMA - the fans got more FMA. What's not to like?
For more information check out the full press release HERE
I think the announcement speaks for itself. Feel free to discuss in the comments. And don't forget to check out the previous post on Toei shows being added to funimation.com/video.

I personally think you, Funimation, are amazing! This is so awesome! Gah, I''m spoiled. Thank you! Thank you!
Good job FUNimation, this is exactly what I wanted you to do, and I'm glad you pulled through *clap clap*
Now I can enjoy this series as soon as possible without having to resort to the you-know-what methods!
I also look forward to the inevitable dub sometime in the future ^^
you guys kick ass plain and simple.!!
I was wondering if you all were going to do something with the new FMA series. With the popularity of the first one, I knew fans were going to be hungry for the new series and wouldn't want to wait for a DVD release in the US several months from now.
Great work Funi!
Thank you so much to all at Funi who worked to get this new version. Yes, I know it was probably a given that it would happen, but stil ... Any news on the dub voice cast yet? I'm hoping for a repeat of the first cast if at all possible. I'll be watching and then buying the dvd's as they are released as well.
Here's hoping the Funi servers can handle the traffic that first day ...
btw, thanks to whoever at Funi decided to put so many titles online for legal viewing and for not blocking us Canadians out. I've purchased several titles I might not have because of this
