Simulcast and acquisition of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Oh man.  This is the big one.  I'm getting nervous just typing it.  It almost leaves me speechless.  Not only is FUNimation announcing the acquisition of 'the most anticipated series of 2009', we're also going to be streaming the subtitled episodes within days of the Japanese Television Debut.  Crazy, huh?!  The fans wanted more FMA - the fans got more FMA.  What's not to like?

 Brotherhood

For more information check out the full press release HERE

I think the announcement speaks for itself.  Feel free to discuss in the comments.  And don't forget to check out the previous post on Toei shows being added to funimation.com/video.

FOr anyone who don't know, this version of FMA is gonna Follow the manga. The original did as well for a couple volumes, but went of on its own.

Im excited about this, but I might have to force myself not to watch it for a while. Both because I hate having top wait week by week for 1 episode, and also because i'm used to the amazing english voices.

Seen the original 3 times, and up to date with the manga, so have high hopes for this.

First off, an amazing feat pulled off here! Congradulations to FUNimation! I'm just curious though, since you get the raw footage, are they re-starting the anime in this series, or does it somehow start after Conquerer of Shambala?

Huzzah. I;m also hoping for a dub, can't wait to hear my favorite FMA character (Major Alex Louis Armstrong) interact with my second favorite character (Olivier Armstrong) in English (and Japanese for that matter, but a character like Armstrong sounds better in English).
