Can Funimation just sell this stuff directly... Don't want it in amazon because it takes time for them to release...

I purchase most of my Anime titles from BestBuy now. I used to get them from Amazon, but since Best Buy started price matching Amazon and some other online retailers, I prefer to get it from BestBuy now since I can also use my Reward Zone dollars toward the purchase. And I get free expedited shipping since I am a Silver Reward Zone member. So I typically get it in the same two days it would have taken to get the title from Amazon with prime shipping.
As everybody else said, I don't buy Anime from best buy or any other local retailer. Why would I pay full MSRP when I can get it dirt cheap from Right Stuf or Amazon etc...
It's the same with Manga. Why pay full price at the store(when I can even find a store that sells manga) when online with sales you can get it for almost half off.
I used to buy a lot of anime at Best Buy, but now since they don't sell everything I want and I still have to buy online. I just buy from RS now, I have not seen anyone cheaper then RS pre-orders during a 46% off sale. I could wait for Amazon to have a huge sale to get it cheaper maybe but I would have to wait a long time after the anime I want is on the shelves.
Last time I actually looked for anime at Best Buy, back when they had two four foot sections, I noticed that the prices of the shows I looked at were all at the MSRP, who pays that? Even if I had to pay shipping I'd be paying less than MSRP, not to mention they cannot match the selection, from internet retailers. If they at least matched Amazon pricing, or even better RightStuf! pricing, then they might be competitive.
Unfortunately the price match "at a *local* retail competitor" doesn't do anything for me. The only other retailer in town carrying anime that I heard about pulled their selection before I even had a chance to check it out.
@lee- If I'm gunna buy online then as I said before I'll stick iththe usual RS and company. Its cheaper with them more often than not anyway.
Well, if you want to see more anime in the Best Buy stores, you could buy it online at the kiosks in store. The store you bought it from gets the credit and it shows them that there is a demand for that product.
i totally agree with the above post the best buys i have access to have shrunk their anime sections down to basically nothing and its quite sad. I pretty much have to shop online to find the titles i want anymore
Love the releases but I'll stick with RS and company. BB has become a joke for shopping anime. If they have even a 4ft section to choose from anymore I'm suprised. The last time I went in they had on 2 shelves of anime, Mostly of One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. And maybe a hand full of ofther titles At best.
