In case you haven't been watching our new show Princess Jellyfish, here's a look at the show's opener. You might be surprised at what you find:
Was that a X-Wing fighter from Star Wars? And I think I saw the James Bond opener in there, too! Did you catch any other pop culture references in the opener?
And if you like this, remember you can catch the show's subbed simulcast on the Princess Jellyfish Funimation Video Page or YouTube Page every Thursday. For those of you that are watching, what do you think of the show so far? How would you describe it to those who haven't seen it yet?

Kuragehime is a brilliant show. I love how they captured some of the more impossible things to describe perfectly.
Crossdressing, inner beauty, scandal, love, and Tsukimi's art is just amazing~!
I adore her attraction to jellyfish, and even more so the vision she creates with her dresses later in the series.
I love Clara, too~!
i wish this could be on itunes even if it isnt dubbed yet haha i luv it soooo much! xD xD xD xD xD xD xD xD
I <3 this anime SO MUCH XD
It's hard to explain but I think @Eric P and @K2 cover my feelings exactly: Jellyfish Princess is freshing, fun, entertaining and believable. A down-to-earth tale of geeky girls and the trials of fitting in or not fitting in in the crazy, modern, "plastic" world we live in today. This show has me rooting for characters like I haven't done since Black Butler xD
Awesome job Funi!
(Quality is great too btw)
That looks super-cute! Mary Poppins refs FTW.
as soon as my saturday classes r done,i run straight to my dorm, sit down, n watch it. its soooo cute! luvd todays too i just wanted ta hug poor tsukimi xD n tie that evil girl to a post
This anime is so lovely and charming! I laugh and wibble every episode; it's refreshing, unique, hysterical and touching. It's got the most believable love triangle I've seen in ages, too. Please post episode 9 soon!
I can't believe you guys can actually show this anyway, this should have bankrupted you.
The only question is it Game of Death or Kill Bill, I lean to Game of Death
I recognized every reference (although it wasn't until now I finally identified 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' at the end), and it makes me rather curious why they were all western-influenced.
I'm loving this show. There are plenty of series about groups of geeky guys, but the supporting girls are almost always unrealistically attractive-looking. I never once expected that anyone in Japan would ever make a show that centered around a group of geeky girls, girls with actual physical and personality character to them, and then this series came out of the blue as a near-answer to my prayers. Of course, even from the first episode there's no denying the main protagonist is still cute in her own nerdy way. This has become one of my new faves of this year and am looking forward to the hopeful future DVD release.
The train part makes me think of "the General" with Buster Keaton
...but that's a silent film so I think it's probably referencing something else.
You know your getting old when you see that yellow jumpsuit and the first thing that come to mind is Bruce Lee and not Kill Bill.
