UPDATE: Sheesh, people. Ian Sinclair had our full permission to reveal the Black Butler 2 Cast List and OVA announcement at Matsuricon. So, please stop sending him threatening e-mails and hiring ninjas to attack him...
You’ve seen the first season of Aniplex’s “Black Butler” and you've probably already suspected that we'll be bringing you the second season in 2012 (well, more liked begged us on Facebook and on the website)– but the Season 2 secret we’ve been saving was shared by ADR director Ian Sinclair at Matsuricon this past weekend. Since the cat's out of the bag, let's just make it official:
Playing the roles of a new butler, Claude Faustus, is Jason Douglas; a new charge, Alois Trancy, is Luci Christian; and maid, Hanna Annafellows, is Caitlin Glass.
We also have the rights to the 5 OVAs of this supernatural series.
- OVA 01 (Wonderland Part 01 and 02)
- OVA 02 (Welcome to the Phantomhives)
- OVA 03 (Making Of )
- OVA 04 (The Intention of Spider)
- OVA 05 (The Story of Will the Reaper)
Look for these demons on DVD in 2012.
Synopsis of Series:
SEASON 1
Ciel Phantomhive was born into a life of luxury, only to have his beloved parents brutally murdered before his eyes. Wrought with grief and tortured by the very fiends who killed his mother and father, Ciel summoned the services of an exquisite butler born of the fires of hell. Together, they’ll turn merry old England on its ear while hunting the mysterious villains who made Ciel an orphan.
SEASON 2

Ok its 2012 now is it out yet
when you pre-order it on sites like best buy it says it will be released april 3 i know that because i just pre ordered it yesterday

I just hope they either leave the DVDs Not Rated, or TV-14 because the show isn't even worth the rating MA in my opinion.
If not, I can't watch them.

Thanks for the reply. I am kind of concerned whether Funimation is still going to use the same casts for Shakugan no Shana (Season 2, the OVAs, & the movie), Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail, & Hellsing Ultimate episodes 5-8. Because of the cast of Trigun Badlands Rumble, which used an entirely new cast except Johnny Yong Bosch (who does Vash the Stampede, the main protagonist), this makes me even more concerned whether Funimation is still going to use the same casts for Shakugan no Shana (Season 2, the OVAs, & the movie), Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail, & Hellsing Ultimate episodes 5-8.

Most fans would hope those titles would have the original casts, but the recasts for the Trigun movie did come as a surprise for some.
Unless you want confirmation that the casts will still be the same?
Shana & Black Lagoon outsourced to Ocean Productions and Hellsing Ultimate outsourced to New Generation Pictures.
If Funimation is going to announce their own in-house dub cast for a show, it should be for Chaos; Head (delays much?).
