New York asian film fans can see the 2009 Japanese historical action film GOEMON at the Sunshine Cinema tonight and tomorrow night. The film, directed and written by Kazuaki Kiriya, is a fictional account of the folkhero Ishikawa Goemon, a legendary bandit much like Robin Hood - he steals from the rich and gives to the poor - during the final days of the Japanese civil war.
