Oh wait... you can't. Not only are they not for sale in the U.S., but according to ANN, the phones sold out in 5 hours. The "Nerv-only" phone will appear in Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.
*Sigh* Well, I think that we need to step it up as fans so we can get super awesome electronic devices based on anime. I'm sure if the U.S. fanbase could guarantee 20,000 NERV phones priced at $900 a piece to be sold out in under 5 hours, someone will be interested in making one. That's $18 million in one morning.
What other anime gadgets do you think could be transferable for real life use?

a quill pen with the Tsubasa Chronicle feather, Ranka's frog/phone thing in Macross Frontier, Ed's pocketwatch from FMA (which actually exists), the Powerpuff Girls Z compacter (the ones they use along with the rings to transform), Vincent's claw from Final Fantasy, "Hescafe" brand instant coffee from Ouran, a gun from Hellsing, an actual persacom from Chobits (impossible, I know. I'll settle for a tiny talking doll, though.)
I'll probably think of more later.

Anyway. Has anyone seen the Phone from East of Eden??? That cell phone is epic! I'd pay big money for it. I has a built in Debit card that tells you your balance as you spend money! It could do a bunch of other stuff as well. Also it looks so Awesome....
Personally, I'd love to have a camera like Shirasu used in FLAG, and all the nice lenses. Lina Inverse's magical power amulets. They'd make for some really nifty bracelets or belt buckle... Conan's Skateboard and bowtie voice changer.
It doesn't really relate to this post, but after rewatching episode seven of Slayers NEXT... I think Lina Inverse would benefit greatly from "Cooking Mama: Dragon Cuisine Edition." And my little sis recommended Ghost Hunt "Clue," where all the problems turn out to be caused by earth spirits.
Slightly more on topic, I'd like a mecha. Any mecha, really. It would be soooo much more interesting than a car.
Shanas' night cape, think of what you could hide in it. If I were a busness man it would have to be Sven breif case, never worry about being muged, and can always be ready to act shiveress and save the ladies. To Mario1-7 gundam idea, that would be a big YES, but it would be either strike freedom or wing zero, lots of fierpower, or lots of power, tough choice, my standpoint would be neutral though as long as you stay out of my way.

I'll second Conan's gadgets. They're all amazing. My students want the skateboard... while I just want them all!
