Flower Mound, TX (July 29, 2011) – FUNimation® Entertainment today announced that it has acquired the home entertainment, broadcast, digital and merchandise rights to the follow-up movie to the romantic comedy series “Heaven’s Lost Property” and “Heaven’s Lost Property: Forte” from Kadokawa.
The animated film HEAVEN’S LOST PROPERTY THE MOVIE: THE ANGELOID OF CLOCKWORK (known is Japan as Gekijoban Sora no Otoshimino: Tokei-jikake no Enjeroido) premiered earlier this summer in Japanese theaters and is directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa.
The film focuses on the Hiyori arc of the manga and tells new stories about our hero Tomoki Sakurai and a new girl named Hiyori Kazane. However, there is also a new danger from Ikaros’ hometown that is threatening Tomoki’s world.

The movie is not a long recap episode. While it is a "recap" during the first half an hour it gives tons of new scenes. It is completely in Hiyori's view not the usual point of view. The rest of the movie is completely new, not seen in the previous 2 seasons. The recap is necessary for people that haven't seen the anime but is also a cool aspect to the people that have seen it because it is seen from a different view. I must say though, away from the recap topic, the beginning trailers showed footage that wasn't in the final cut. For example the Tomoki's conscience train and the restaurant Mikako opens up with the rotten egg. I wonder if those will be put into season 3 because they are too funny to leave out.

Since this movie is nothing but a giant recap episode, I will only THINK about buying it if it comes out on blu ray. 1 giant recap episode. Really? Lame.
when is it come out in Eng dub.
I just finished watching the subbed movie, and was hoping that it would wrap things up for the series, but was sadly mistaken. It did tie off a couple loose ends which only led to a couple more questions. I'm guessing a season 3 will be coming out sometime soon in Japan? I hope that will be as fun to watch as the rest of the series has been and tie things up nicely.
