Flower Mound, TX – January 28, 2012 - FUNimation Entertainment announced today at Ohayocon that it has acquired the broadcast, home entertainment, merchandising, mobile and streaming rights to the anime series, HAGANAI (Boku wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai). FUNimation plans to release the HAGANAI series on DVD and Blu-ray. Watch full episodes on www.funimation.com.
Series synopsis:
Kodaka Hasegawa has just transferred to St. Chronica's Academy and he's having a hard time making friends. With his naturally blond hair and fierce looking eyes, people constantly mistake him for a delinquent. One day, he runs into his bad-tempered loner of a classmate, Yozora, while she's talking to her imaginary friend, Tomo. Since neither of them have any friends, they decide to form a club and start recruiting some. Little by little, lonely classmates join their club to learn how to build friendships through cooking together, playing games, and other group activities. But, with so many misfits, will the club members really be able to get along?

naviproductions: The particle "wa" is written with the hiragana character "ha". From the full Japanese title, "Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai": "ha" + "ga" + "nai" = Haganai
So I'm guess that means it will be dubbed? If so I will totally get it. It was on my list of animes to watch out for.
I'll buy it if it's uncensored. Otherwise I'm not wasting my money on Funimation's release.
When will the english cast be announced? Plus I know Todd Haberkorn is getting a lot of leading roles. Is there someone else beside him who can take that role?
clik, clik, clik, FUNimation has bestowed a wise offering to the children of night - Loved this series last Fall! can't wait to see it again in English. I want Brittney Karbowski as Yozora & Brina Palencia as Sena (aka "Meat"). It better be Uncensored! I am NOT happy with all those 'orges' on "B geta H kei"
I'm looking forward to the dub because whoever is in the writing department knows how to make funimation comedies funny *BAKA AND TEST :D
Oh snap! I'm not too surprised but I am happy. Just started watching the streams of this one and it cracks me up. Man I hope Cherami Leigh and Blake Shepard will do the voice work for that epic scene with the Sacred Blacksmith parody visual novel. God that scene cracked me up.

Yes!! I'm glad this got licensed. I've only seen the first episode, but I hope to watch the rest of the series sometime. Maybe when the dub comes out
Anyway, anyone know why it's shortened 'Haganai'?

Now I hope it won't have a predictable dub cast.
