A small ray of hope for you all. "Bones" has publicly stated that they ware working on a anime "revisiting" a past title. Most speculation on the web seems to lean towards it being Full Metal Alchemist or Sailor Moon but I would not rule out Ouran since FMA and SM were both really completed as far as their mangas went. Ouran on the other hand - the anime only covers the first half of the manga series with the last two episodes mostly original to provide a stopping point ( I have never really thought of it as an ending). In the manga the festival episode serves more as a turning point in the story. WHile there is plenty more silliness it's after the fair that things turn more dramtic. the best parts of the manga are yet to come if it's ever continued in anime.

Seeing this subject I literally just made an account just to add my 2 cents (sorry if they are bad ) Ouran was great Anime and Personally I felt it's ending served both outcomes of there being no following season or having a following season. Don't forget however this wouldn't be the first anime that stops when you know there's much more to the story. Two come to mind immediately that have done this already; Air Gear and Fruits Basket.

I sure hope you're right. This anime has been seriously giving me Post Anime Depression Syndrome. They need to bring this back!

IDK Who you guys are but there are enough Ouran lovers out there that mabey we could start petitioning for a second season! It kind of worked with the whole Texas wanting to leave the U.S. thing, so mabey it could work now! I mean we are all dying to see more of this show and a lot of people are saying tht there isn't going to be one. So we can have it ready just incase they do, but if they don't then we"ll be ready!
