You know what annoys me... Is that a lot of people don't understand how the Strawhat's actually relate to people and there feelings.
Chopper is a fantastic character. They all play a crucial part. I'm sure a lot of people are losing the point of chopper and what he's there for.
Also his voice is fine, he's a child for christ sake, he's a young reindeer, he was abandoned when he was a baby, he went through hell, he's technically still a child now, So the voice is needed and fits perfectly and anyone who says the dub version is better needs a slap across the face because that's a child like voice also.
Also another thing to point out which I had an argument with a fairy tail moron before, saying he actually mentioned chopper and how it's retarded what Oda did to him, when in fact, there's a talking stupid cat thing in fairy tail. Both Animals, both can talk, though chopper is actually more useful than the stupid cat. I think my comment is valid. If I wasn't tired. I'd explain fully, but a lot of people are losing the point about chopper and other characters. >_>

Like the other guy you're missing the point of this thread; it's not a defend a character thread, if you can't accept that some people don't like Chopper, don't read their freaking posts. Second, this isn't the I hate Fairy Tail thread either, so save your pre-established hate of Fairy Tail for a different thread. It's the least favorite character thread, that's it. Say which character you like the least and that's it

Um.....anthropomorphic animals pre-exist modern anime, so no. Comparing Chopper and Happy is pure fail and seems to serve no purpose than antagonize.
That being said, I've said someone before, I think.
But just in case I forgot to include him, one of my other hated characters is Akainu. Far too much of an extremist and not much of the well intentioned kind either.

To wrap up, come on, guys. Not everyone's gonna like the same character. Every character in existence has haters as well as fans. Let's not blow the issue out of proportion for a completely opinionated topic.

I don't get how you aren't understanding the concept of what he's getting at. He's not saying he is literally a failure as an animal. He's saying he fails as an animal in that he brings no real animal quality to the character (save pre-devilfruit). Once he has eaten the devil fruit he barely resembles a reindeer in any way, shape, or form. He looks like a mutant freak with antlers. He fails as an animal in the writing and relatability aspect. This happens to also be how he fails as a human... because in no way does he resemble a human and therefore it is impossible to relate to him as a human. I understand why Some might relate to him, being that he's an outcast on all sides and some people may feel that way. Well, I don't feel that way. And neither Does Gomu, apparently, since he wrote that he is his least favorite character.
It seems like you're one of those types of people that feels the need to "own" people on the internet for little to no reason at all. Do you get some sense of satisfaction with miscomprehending people's statements and then spewing quotes and interpretations that have little to no relevance as if to school the forum on how much knowledge you have of a show?? Because everything you've said has been pretty common knowledge, and I only have a tenuous grasp on the show. You want to impress someone, you've got to do a bit better a job. Ninja-Mage-whatever-that-persons-name-is has barely written anything in this thread and I already respect them more.

Charloss was by far the worst, just one those guys obviously made for hating, also was never the biggest fan of Bellamy either also Foxy too but I do enjoy Foxy's ability.

Chopper was a baby reindeer, he ate the devil fruit when he was a baby, he wasn't just rejected because he could transform, but also because he had a blue nose. He was the outcast.
Now people saying he's a freakish mutant and not an animal, you're wrong.
He is an animal, and he can transform. You saying he's freakish mutant makes you no better than the reindeer's who left him when he was a baby and the people who tried to kill him when he did nothing wrong but be himself.
If you don't have any real opinions to back up why you dislike chopper. I don't want to read you're comments. In fact don't even post back unless you do.
