Well I have all of seasons 1-3 and the movie 8 but I have only seen all of season 1. I'm waiting until season 4 comes out before I watch seasons 2 and 3. So my favorite arc so far was the Arlong arc because it had great action scenes, great drama, great comedy, etc.

Actually, I'm quite partial to Arlong Park myself. It's not my overall favorite arc, but my favorite hasn't been dubbed yet.
I like the Arlong Park arc because I feel like it best represents the overall tone of the series. It's a very serious and emotional arc that explores some of the key recurring themes of One Piece: Dreams, friendship, family, self-sacrifce and racism. But at the same time, it retains a lot of the lighthearted humor and optimism that makes the show fun.
Incidentally, I didn't really like the Alabasta Arc of the anime. The pacing was awful and a lot of the episodes were so dragged out they were downright boring. The manga version of the arc is much more concise and exciting.

Man I was hoping for season 2 and 3 to be better than season 1 but by your opinion of the show I think that's not going to happen...What makes season 2 and 3 inferior to season 1? Thanks
Little Garden Arc (70-77)
Because this is where Usopp get's his way to achieve his over all goal in the Grandline and he actually plays the biggest role in saving the day. And 4kids removed this great story.
Well to put it simply, it falls into the same pitfalls as all long-running shounen series. Filler, episode padding, etc. Luckiliy, the art doesn't takes any serious dives. The show never actually gets "bad" but I think episodes 21-53 are the best in the series.

Wow I was thinking how great this series was and bought all the voyages. Now i'm being told the season I saw which is 1 is much better than season 2 and 3 which I didn't see yet. I thought this show was going to be even better in season 2 and 3. So does anyone else here like season 1 better than season 2 and 3? I thought season 1 would be the worst season of them all. Fans tell me that this series gets better and better as you get deeper and deeper into the episodes...so that means season 2 and 3 have to be better than season 1 right? Thanks
Well I don't have a favorite arc per say. I guess I like East Blue Saga ultimately because the arcs were short and summed up. Not that I hate the other arcs. The other arcs are quite a thrill but Oda seems to drag out his arcs later and with the manga he's always constantly on breaks for all reasons varying from Shonen Jump's regular breaks required or he gets sick. Also he has kids who take up his time as well.
Like right now I kind of wished the Fishman Island arc would finish up now and get to a new island.
I like the story arcs a lot so I can't chose one but I like Season 1 the best simply because the arcs are shorter and we get on to another interesting story.

As for me, I loved Alabasta the best out of the currently dubbed arcs.
i'd probably say season 1 for now.
Arlong park. I got teary eyed when Nami was stabbing herself in the arm and Luffy stopped her. Then gave her his hat. Still one of my favorite moments ever.
Season 2 and 3 are great. Stop worrying.
I've only reached episode 72, so I'm right in the middle of the Little Garden Arc.
The Baratie Arc had some pretty sweet face-offs.
- Zoro & Mihawk
- Luffy & Don Krieg
And the introduction of Sanji. I really liked his background story. It sheds so much light on why he and Zeff have such strict policies on not wasting food.
But I'd have to say my favorite arc thus far is the Loguetown Arc. It's just plain EPIC.
