Bull and hype. The direction of how to play a character comes from the script, ADR, and on-screen ques from the original language at the dubbing studio. The people that produce the show in Japan are busy making that show and are not as involved as you are making it seem.

The way Franky pronounces words is done so on purpose, to the point of being character defining, and is not just because the VA is Japanese.

Unlimited Adventure is mad good. I got the game right when it came out at Gamestop and I've got so many hours on that game. I hope that One Piece Unlimited Cruise: SP comes out for the Nintendo 3DS in the United States. I would definitely buy a 3DS just for that game. That Zelda Ocarina of Time remake looks pretty decent too.
