Okami-San vs. The Pied Piper

Hey Everyone,

Here's an idea I posted for a combination Okami-San/Fairy Tale in that contest forum.

Okami-San vs. The Pied Piper of Hamelin - unsanitized Grimm Brothers version, in which all the children (including the high school kids in Okami-San) are led away forever, and establish the nation of Transylvania.

In the Grimm Brothers version, two children are left behind: one blind, the other lame.

In the Okami-San version, the blind one would be Okami, the lame one Ringo. They would have been injured in the unsuccessful battle to keep the other kids from being lured away by the piper.

In subsequent seasons: a blind Okami-San and her crippled sidekick Ringo battle the Piper and his evil forces in Transylvania (the army made up of Okami's former classmates) to return the kids to "normal" and get them back to their homes.

Those subsequent seasons are when Okami-San would actually display the strength she's supposed to have (but doesn't) in the current series.

Mainly I thought the series needed a little adrenalin, because in the first 5 or so episodes, Okami actually comes across as something of a wimp. Starting with the very first battle in which her stalker deflects a knife with a stone, she doesn't win any fights without the help of a guy. The "guy" in those episodes is her zealous stalker and klutz (albeit a courageous klutz), Ryōshi Morino.

So that's the best Okami-San can do? Get rescued every time by a klutz? I hope she manages to tone up a little before the end of the series!

Whatcha think about that Pied Piper idea?
