Attack on Titan Episode One Available Now for FUNimation Elite Video Subscribers

April 12, 2013 – FLOWER MOUND, TX – FUNimation Entertainment announced today that it has acquired the SVOD rights for the highly anticipated anime series -- Attack on Titan. The 25 episode post-apocalyptic series is directed by Tetsuro Araki (Guilty Crown and High School of the Dead) and from the studio behind the Ghost in the Shell series (Production I.G.)

One Piece to Join Toonami Block Starting May 18

FUNimation and Adult Swim confirmed today that the shonen anime series One Piece will join the Toonami block. The announcement was first made during the Toonami panel at Momocon on March 10th. The series will premiere on the network late Saturday night on May 18th at 1:00am ET. It will begin with episode 207 ("Great Adventure At Long Ring Long Land!"). Soul Eater will then move to its new time slot of 1:30am ET.

A Certain Scientific Railgun S Premieres This Sunday

April 11, 2013 – FLOWER MOUND, TX – FUNimation Entertainment announced today that it has acquired the streaming rights to A Certain Scientific Railgun S. This is the second season of A Certain Scientific Railgun, which FUNimation will release on DVD on April 16, 2013.

Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival

Thanks to our pals at Japan Video in San Francisco, FUNimation had the pleasure of attending the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival last year. If you’ve never been to a Japanese festival, you should definitely put it on your bucket list. We hope to see those of you in the Northern California area at the Cherry Blossom festival in San Francisco’s Japantown. FUNimation is sponsoring the event with prizing and will have a booth with free artcards and posters for you to take home. Keep an eye out for the big Goku fabric wall at the festival to find us. The event takes place Saturday & Sunday, April 13-14 and April 20-21. Festival hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with some events performing later if necessary.
