What ruined my day? Funimation's release of Sekirei Pure Engagement on blu-ray. like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, the subtitles are non selectable. You can have English audio with NO subtitles, or Japanese audio with FULL subtitles. Hearing impaired persons like me can't have English audio with subtitles. If I wanted to only be able to have Japanese audio with subtitles, I could have just kept my fansubbed episodes.
DVDs have had selectable subtitles for many years. There is no excuse for releasing crippleware like this. I would get a refund if I could.
Also, the audio can only be changed from the menu, not with the blu-ray remote. That is a major inconvenience too, especially when I discovered there were no subtitles with the English audio. If I see just ONE more crippleware release like this, I will stop buying from Funimation and keep fansubs, which have better translations on subtitles anyway, and can be edited by me for correct spelling and grammar
I am tired of paying good money for garbage I can't watch, and without subtitles, I miss too many things. I can't hear in the lower and upper vocal ranges, and I can't crank up the volume as high as I need because I live in an apartment where the walls amplify sound. Headphones are not an option with my hdtv, as it is too far away from me and we already have a lot of wires crossing the floor.

1. This has NOTHING even vaugly to do with that! Why would you even bring up a pointless argument that took place MONTHS ago!?
2.Flaimbaiting and personal attacks are against forum rules.
3. 99% of the time online petetions do NOTHING .
4. I realize that you may be fairly young, and that the anonimity of the internet easily intices us all to act like bratty kids, but please try to show some tact and common decancy towards your fellow forumers. You don't havr to like me or anyone else, but you can at least act decent and tolerante of all the members here.
5. Know I am not the kind to take pointless & personal attacks lying down. I will report you to the mods/admins. If you have a qualm with me, thats fine. But instead of randomly bashing me in a thread, PM me so we can work out any problems privately and in a civil manner!

Monkey, I'm not up on this. What "negative hub-ub"?
Well 1st Bandai closed down, then Media Blasters layed off abunch o notf staff, and now Funimation is sueing Sentai. Yep not the best way for the industry to start the year.
The entire month of January was ruined for me when the Jets lost on New Year's Day.
Paying over $300 for a college book that they decided to stop using next semester (So I can't resell this 2683 page "booster seat").

I can honestly say, all of the negative hub-ub in the anime industry in the past week or so has really ruined my January.
