Heck none of the stores around here even have any Thanksgiving Decor. But I look forwad to it. One of the few tiems we get to see family we don't see often. And perharps partake of some good food. lol Can't deni I'll be taking part of some of these holoday sales though. lol

I might sound like a jerk for saying this but if Black Friday were to be banned permanently I would throw a parade. People act like they lost their damn minds when that day comes around and cause nothing but chaos and mayhem. Chances of you getting that sale are slim anyway because that stuff would be in limited stock.

I like Thanksgiving a lot and it saddens me a bit that the whole feeling of commercialism from Christmas overshadows the importance of Thanksgiving with it's family values and historical heritage. It's one of the very few times that I see my cousins as well as distant uncles and aunts. My cousins are the closest thing to siblings to me considering that I'm an only child. The abundance of food also makes for a great Thanksgiving as well. Gives me such a warm feeling inside.

I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving this year. It'll be nice to relax with my family and watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles per our annual tradition. Plus the food. Yum. And the long weekend's nice too.

Black Friday: Not ever going to participate in these sales. Online sales? Sure, if something catches my eye. But not brick and mortar stores. People's behavior during the regular holiday shopping season is bad enough. Don't exactly feel like being trampled at Walmart or Target in order to save a little money on some TV or video game.

Already had our thanksgiving, it was great, my cousin brought his pug over and during the entire meal, it sounded like an engine was under the table with all that heavy breathing and snorting it was doing as it anxiously awaited a table scrap of turkey and gravy to fall off the table - it was very funny.

We do have Rememberance Day, which is like Veterans Day or Memorial Day.

Oh man, stores here are already breaking out Christmas stuff and even worse; playing Christmas music - for the love of anime and all that is great in this world - it's too bloody early for Christmas stuff - songs, decorations, chocolates, sales and Santa - NOT YET!

Sadly, the retailers here just don't seem to get it, barely into November and I'm already sick of Christmas, if things keep up like this I'll be saying stuff like: "Christmas, just another excuse to be lazy." And the all famous "Bah humbug!"

It's their fault though - they pushed me too far.

I hate snow. Car almost got stuck today.

There have been Christmas decorations in stores here since late September. tongue No music yet though, to my knowledge.

Yeah I've seen X-mas stuff out since mid-late september. There are a few radio stations that will soon be playing nonstop christmas tunes til the end of the year. Heck after one day of having ot listen to that music I'll be sick of Christmas. They just seem to forget there is another rather important holiday. A little holiday called thanksgiving.

I've noticed over the years that Halloween and Thanksgiving keep getting more and more overshadowed by Christmas, which is unfortunate. It's really frustrating to see retail stores putting out holiday stuff at the end of September, along with commercial ads as well. 3 whole months of that stuff. Ridiculous. I can understand why they would, but still.

I've never gone out on Black Friday and never intend to. There are usually awesome, if not better, deals online anyway.

Anyone got any snow yet? We got our first of the season up here (upper Midwest) last week.
Short, but pleasant. Most of it melted the next day.
