Any word on this one coming to DVD? It seems be getting a lot of positive vibes and I'd like to see it for myself but I don't have cable or sat where I am. Just DVD, Blu-Ray and streaming. (So really I don't need to pay for all those channels I never watch but still.)
Hasbro did say at their MLPcon during the summer that DVD & BD releases were in the works, but there is no concrete release date for any singles or a season 1 BD as of yet, however Shout Factory recently announced the 1st Single for Transformers: Prime which is the new TF series airing on the HUB (same network as MLP) so I would hazard to guess that DVD releases for other Hasbro Hub series such as MLP:FIM won't be that far off, I can't say for sure, But I personally would expect a MLP DVD availible sometime early in 2012.
Yea know in retrospect its kind of sad I live in a world thats more efficant about getting foreign animations out on DVD then my own contries (for the most part) Lol. Well OK Warner Bros does a pretty good job of getting stuff out fast, but everyone else seems slower then molases.

It is a little silly isn't it? And the worst is when they decide to release series out of order! This is a personal pet peeve, even if a series is highly episodic, there can and often is some degree of actual plot progression. It drives me crazy when a company finally releases a good cartoon, only to toss random episodes together on the disc and think because they put some "theme" title on the disc that this is acceptable. (It's fine if there is a proper release planned or already out but MAN it bugs me when this is their idea of a proper release.)
The speed thing is an issue too. Why do we sometimes have to wait years and years for a release? Especially if the show was popular/successful/got good ratings? (Heck, I'm still waiting for a Swat Kats release. Curse you Ted Turner!)

(Also no sweat over not knowing about it, I didnt either till I browsed Toonzone for abit earlier this year.)
But yeah the whole random episode thing is indeed annoying, also still baffled NICK/Paramount have yet to release proper season sets of Rugrats, that was like..one of the biggest toons of the 90's yet all we have on DVD are the movies.
But getting back on Topic, so far the only MLP: FIM DVD avalible is a target exclusive that came with a toy that has 2 random episodes, good for the kiddies,, not good for teen & adult animation collectors. But yeah Hasbro has said MLP; FIM DVD's will come, but then again Saban said proper DVD sets for the origional power rangers would come and we havent heard anything about those since the initial statement. Huh....its hard being a nerd for U.S. toons & nostalgic media, lol. But yeah until then all of the currently avalible episodes can be downloaded from itunes for those who are not lucky enough to have the HUB to catch the show on TV.
Also Hasbro put up a preview for this Saturday's ep if anyone is interested. (Man I love Discord, I too someday wish to be an omnipitent troll! LOL!)
Just watched show stoppers and I just realized something: Sweetie Belle is a young unicorn hinted at having a talent for singing, DJ Pon3 is an adult unicorn whose talent is music and we haven't seen her face (obscured by sci-fi goggles). This leads me to only one conclusion: DJ Pon3 is Sweetie Belle from the future (play me off christopher Lloyd!)
Also Remember Return of Harmony Part 2 Airs tommarow at 9:00/8:00 central, after that there will be a short reprive & episode 3 of season 2 will air October 15th.
Well Part 2 of Retirn of Harmony was pretty good, overall though I feel we could have gotten a 3-parter out of the Discord story arc as opposed to just a 2 parter, it was epic, but it felt rushed, also kind of dissapointed it was Discord's own cockyness that lead to his defeat, guys obviously not dumb, heck he's a god of chaos...but he just made the same mistake so many villians have in tha past, its kind of sad really. Oh well I'm sure we haven't seen the last of him, I bet he'll come back in a future season & troll the ponies once more. Until then I'll enjoy seeing what else season 2 has to offer.
But man its gonna be a pain to have to wait till Ocotber 15th to see episode 3 of season 2, darn these ponies & their addictivness!!!
