HAHA, sweet, yeah i've seen a few MLP/Sailor Moon Crossover images, but haven't seen that one before, thats a pretty sweet fan vector. Have to add that to my collection of pony pics, thanks!
And speaking of crossovers, This Pic was posted on the offical Mass Effect Facebook Wall. (the fans of ME obviously weren't too happy about it of course.) But yeah, Ponynet is slowly assimilating all. (seriously Skynet ain't got nothin on the herd, lol.)
Doesn't Thor live there? Or is that where they incarcerated Loki?

OH NO, WHAT HAPPENED TO PONYVILLE!!???
New villian probably tampered with the space time continuum turning their town into a burnout (my actual theory), or, the stock market crashed again and they're going through a depression/recession like North America is (I hope that joke didn't upset anybody).
Or worse yet, maybe they all said, "Ponyville is a dump; let's move to the big city." Then they become all stuck up arrogant, (I missed a few adjectives because they may actually be insulting to others) jerks (from living in the city) to the level Discord never dreamed.

THE GREAT & POWEFUL TRIXIE RETURNS, with a swanky new Alicorn necklace/emblem (wonder what it means!?)
How com Trixie gets to come back, she's a bum.
I have an idea for a villian, a little cliche, but cool; first, they get Kirby Morrow to play him, I'm so used to seeing him as good guys I really want to see him play a real badass. Now his villian would have a "windtunnel" hahaha. But it would act as a vacuum and he uses it to imprison people, thngs, ponies in a jar or container. The general idea is that he'd be so arrogant, he would look at other lifeforms as playthings or prizes or accessories - now, not just anything, ones he feels "stands out" and we all know characters such as Twilight "stand out". So he'd show up in Ponyville all nice and nonthreatening and one by one, he'd "collect" the Ponies, it would have to be a three or four parter episode, it would also be cool to use the story as a vehicle to show other lifeforms and creatures that inhabit this world. Just my idea, I'd watch that.
Anyways, in terms of happenings here, I have decided to go to the animecon tomorrow and try to get an autograph from Haberkorn and Weseluk; they're both doing sessions tomorrow so I'll try to get some stuff signed. Also, Weseluck is holding a voice workshop, if it's not too full I think I'll go to that.
@Neon: Trixie is actually a pretty popular character, sure she'a a braggart, but even the writers commented on her potential as a returning character after her initial appearance in Boast Busters. I view her as an older Diamond Tiara, which can both be a good or bad thing, while she is cocky, that may steem from her own uncertainty. And yeah most people are betting on that she returns as a lacky to whomever the season 3 villian may be, weather she'll stay an antagonist or eventually learn from her mistakes as Twilight hope she would at the end of Boast Busters in Season 1, guess we will just have to wait & see.
And yeah the Crystal Kingdom looks like a mixture of Asgard and the capital in FMAB.
As for the Ponyville picks, they've got me riled up and excited, probably won't see what there about till the season 3 Finale, but man, Season 3's new villain may be pretty bad arse. I mean at first I thought it was because of Discords potential return, but wastelands arn't his style,he's all about chaos & fun. Hmm... And yeah the time-travel element has been brought up in some other theories would be interesting if true, Twilight stuck in a dystopian future for a few eps, oh man if they did that.... best "Little Girls" show ever! LOL. Oh Hasbro, why must you tease me so..... I WANT SEASON 3 NAO!!!!

Trixie as a sidekick villian would be better, I just don't feel she's threatening enough to be a villian worthy of a 2 part episode.
How do you like my Kirby Morrow playing the hunter/collector villian? And to make it more juicy, in her desperation, Twilight (the last pony left of her friends - even the princess and luna have been collected) she enlists the help of Discord - who at first runs off and does his thing; until he encounters the villian and realizes he is a real threat. and barely gets away, I could see the scene now: "The great Discord, such a fine specimen, a wonderful trophy, you'd make a welcome addition to my collection." Or something to that effect. In a way, the villian would be a little like Miroku, Collector and Predator.
In the end, the moral would be, sometimes you have to end up working with people you'd consider enemies, but even then, success is optainable. In terms of how they would deal with Discord in the end after vanquising the Kirby Morrow villian, it could go anyway. No, I'm not writing a fanfic.

FMAB capital, I don't know if I agree with you there - the angle is the same, but the buildings and the star streets sort of veer away from the early 20th century Europe/WW1 sort of vibe. But Asgard, it looks almost like the same engineer designed both cities.
Thats, actually a pretty dang good Idea there Neon, i'm somewhat disappointed you arn't writing a Fanfic.
And yeah odds are Trixie will be the sidekick to whomever the new villain in season 3 is. My personal theory is this. The new villian will offer Trixie a chance at revenge towards Twilight & the others, she'll accept and he'll give her that amulet she's wearing, her powers will be increased and she'll help him do whatever dastardly thing he does to turn Ponyville (possibly all of Equestria) into a wasteland, then in the second half of the story we will see Trixie have an Epiphany of sorts realizing how all the things she's helped do have been hurting all the ponies, and not just Twilight & co (as the villain potentially may have lead her to believe), this will cause her to have a change of heart and make her reluctantly team-up with the mane-6 to help take out the new baddy, and after all is said & done, the show being about Friendship and all, Twilight, despite all Trixie's done will offer her her Friendship. Thus potentially giving us another side character ( ala Big Mac, Cherilee, CMC, etc) to work with in future episodes/seasons (I personally think Trixie could be fun as a sort of Tsundere type character, not knowing how to fully accept friendship and what not.)
And yeah I was mostly speaking of the shape /structure of the city with the FMAB comparison, not the way the buildings are, as you mentioned Buildings look more like something out of Agard or Europe.
But yeah all I know is that Hasbro/HUB better give us a start date soon, i'm goin crazy with all this waiting!
Okay, big news, went to that animecon and enjoyed it more than I thought I would, why it's hre in this thread - you'll find out.
First, I met Todd Haberkorn and he signed my Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood postcards - the ones that came with theBlurays - and he als complemented my FCUK Wolverine shirt - so good on him and a big finger to those who looked at me funny for coming out and dressing normal - yes, I got a lot of weird stares from people and was visited with some rudeness because I looked out of place - look, I'm not a cosplayer, I'm a fan, I will dress how I want. I even had one girl look at me and say rudely: "What?" I just shook my head and turned around. Thank goodness for the Haberkorn autograph and some other events that made this endevour worth while.
Then, now on topic - I got into the panel with Cathy Weseluck - it's great hearing her do her famous characters in person, namely Shampoo and of course, Spike, oh, and the mayor. It was an enjoyable panel, it was only a mere hour, but there was a lot of fun information and lots of pony fans and girls dressed as ponies, I think Rainbow Dash is exceptionally popular, there were lots of girls playing her.
Sadly, she was mum about divulging any infomration whatsoever about season 3 - she could get into some deep sh!t for doing such a thing, so, everyone's just going to have to wait until the fall.
I also got an autograph from her, which is cool, so, those goodies, in the box they go.
But she can't reveal anything about season 3 eh..ahh man. Makes sense though.
That's just how the cookie crumbles I'm afraid - most of the people there for Cathy Weseluk were there for her ponies stuff, she did her Shampoo voice and I went to start clapping and nobody else was, so I avoided an awkward moment. There were the pony cosplayers, keychains, shirts, bags, you name it, one girl even sang a Pinkie song, and I have to say, she was actually pretty on the money, it was impressive.
On a note about the pony show, the episode where Spike loses all self control, I forgot to mention that it had echoes of King Kong in it, but what also got out of it is how overindulgence (in anything) can turn a good being into something ugly, it's a good episode because it is shocking and borderline scary to see Spike behave in such a manner. But, as I said before, it is very touching how he is able to find himself. I started rewatching the episode when I got back from the con; the influence of all those pony cosplayers and fans, that'll do it.
Haha, yeah the herd can be pretty hypnotizing, lol. But yeah, again, glad you had fun at the con.
And you know I too enjoy re-watching the more Spike-centric episodes, I mean on top of being the only male lead, he's a pretty interesting guy, and his episodes usually do a good job of developing his bonds with those closest to him like Twilight (who is arguably the equivalent of Spike's Step-Sister) and of course his crush Rarity. I think the only bad thing about the spike-centric episodes are that they also bring-up up many questions, I mean is Greed the only way dragons can grow, or is their another emotion/urge/whatever that could possibly help them grow into a more noble form? It seems all the other dragons in Equestria have wings, yet Spike Does not, I know some fans attribute it to his small size, and say,o h he'll grow some when he's bigger, but as seen in secret of my excess, that doesn't happen. And baby Pegasus are born with wings, I think it would be the same for dragons. Personally My theory on Spike is that he's the dragon equivalent to an Earth pony (still having some magic of course, as Dragons are pretty amazing creatures and what not, lol) I actually hope that in a future episode/season we find out exactly what tribe of Dragons Spike comes from, that would be nice.
Also hope any future episodes he has continue to do a good job of developing his friendships & relationships not only with Twy & Rarity but the other main six as well. I'd like to know how the other four view spike, well other then finding him much less threatening then his larger kin.
