Alright since I took the time to laugh at you guys, I have to eat my words a little. Just watched the first three shows and it was a pretty cute fun show,

I arrived a little later to the party than most, though I loved the fandom, and the fans... finally started watching it since I am admittedly a huge Rainbow Dash fanboy. (points to fan-art page)... and I can say that I am of course a "Bronie".
This is the only iteration of MLP that I have ever liked, and to all the "Parasprites" that just don't get it... No I can't really say as I get it much either. I just like it, it's funny, and cleverly written and voiced.
My top three favorite characters are:
Rainbow Dash
Fluttershy
Applejack
Least favorite characters are:
Rairity
Twilight Sparkle
Pinkie Pie
Favorite Non-Pony character:
Angel the Bunny Dang he's awesome!!!
and if you pin me down, I will admit to being a "Jackdash" fan. >_>
@David: I can't really say I have any characters I dislike... But i will say this...personally I belive Pinky Pie is using some heavy stuff to have the personality she does (her & Dr. Roxo from metacolypse would get along well, lol.)
But yeah i think the resaon I enjoy the show is the writers have managed to take somthing that i never thought would be anythng more then cute toy horses for lil kids and gone and made a legit cartoon with fun characters and good writing. But hey thsi has some of the same team that was behind foster's, so I guess I should have known it would be good, lol.
I guess if I had to pick a favorites, I might go with Jack & Dash myself, since jack is the western steryotype i love as an okie (haha its funny cause its both true and false. ) and Dash because well.... she reminds me abit of AOSTH Sonic... if sonic were a talking female horse, lol.
In the beginning I loved both Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie equally, but as the season went on Pinkie Pie became my sole favorite. Not that I don't like them all, they all are likable... I just think Pinkie Pie is on a level of her own, IMO.
The very recent episode we had that centered around her - Party Of One, only made her more amazing. I hope we get more awesome Pinkie Pie episodes like that in the future.
It's really hard for me to pinpoint a second favorite character, or even a least favorite character. But I guess that's a good thing, it's really nice that there isn't an annoying character for me to dislike.
You Know while watching the show theres some things that I noticed (that may be kind of random) but I hope are touched on in season 2.
for example
Rainbowdash is the only pony without a pet
Twilight-Spike the Dragon (who can count as both friend & pet, lol.)
Applejack- her dog Wynonia
Fluttershy-Various woodland creature, a bunny & chickens
Pinkie Pie-Gummy (wish I had a baby aliigator.)
Rareity- That cat whoms name i can't remeber.
But Dash has no pet, wonder why?
Also, Where be the parents. We see some of the parents in the flashbacks in episode 23 "te Cutie Mark Chronicles" I belive we see twilights, pinkies (who woulda guessed her parents were amish, lol) and I think jacks. but what about flutter & Dash's rents?
and finally are we ever told Spik's exact age, I mean I know they say he's a "baby dragon" but since dragons live so long baby could be 10-15 years old by in human years.
And Finally. Wonder if Celesita's sister Luna will ever be seen again.
so yeah...those are my silly questions.... anyone wanna guess an answer (and want to tell me why I overanalyze details for childrens shows, lol.)
Rainbow Dash's pet is probably Fluttershy. Though in all honesty, I think Rainbow Dash is too independent to consider caring for a pet. She doesn't live on the ground after all, and hasn't shown an interest in birds or flying animals like Fluttershy.
Spike is pretty much stunted from lack of proper gemstones, is my best answer. He is probably still a child, though he was born/hatched when Twilight was a youngster.
The ponies for all intents and purposes are adults, so it's not really relevant to know about their parents.
As for Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash's rent... well... Dash has a job; keeping the skies clear of clouds and such, though her laziness, and personal interests prevent her from getting much done.
Fluttershy probably works as a butcher, serving up some of the forest creatures for coin when she isn't arguing with Angel Bunny over eating too fast.

Yeah, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash are definitely my favorite pony's.
