Since you are forcing me to admit, it is true. I am a bronie. I absolutely adore this show. The characters are wonderful and the plot is always great. Lauren Foster is always great with whatever work she does in T.V and this is no different, it is sad she won't be working as much on this show when season 2 comes around.
I am not as discouraged about Lauren Faust stepping down to Consulting Producer from Executive Producer depending on one big factor, why is she stepping down. If she is stepping down to spend less time on that show in order to do another I have no problem with her bringing us another great show to watch. If, on the other hand, she is stepping down due to Hasbro, which is unlikely as their profits went up greatly due to the show, then I am a little discouraged.
I watch it and can honestly say that it is probably the best cartoon on air right now. It has excellent writing, great characters and amazing animation.
Also Fluttershy is the most adorable thing ever. <3

I watched the show after having DP rant about it to me yesterday, I have to admit the few eps I saw on the Hub this morning were pretty fun. I may have a new Guilty Pleasure (seriously what is it with me & kids shows, lol.)
Although I am dissapointed the Apocolypse ponies from Robot Chicken arn't in it, lol.
But yeah, Its always nice to see kid shows that actually try, lol.
My jaw is admittantly somewhere on the floor right now. We have a bunch of adolescent and older guys watching My Little Pony *Snicker *snicker
I don't know anything about this show but I absolutely LOVED the 80s show and clearly remember going to see the movie on opening day. My mom even took me out of school for it. My favorite pony from back then was Bright Eyes.

Personally I disliked every iteration before this one, even when I was a kid. The only 80s cartoon that I think was actually good, that I liked when I was a kid that is, was probably Transformers.
Friendship is Magic is epic though. It should be a required watch for American animation fans.
