Come here to show support for films you enjoy that you think get an undeservingly bad rep. Voice your opinion on films you enjoy that it seems most others don't
And remember just because an opinion or view on somthing is popular, doesn't mean its right (afterall they are called the idiot masses for a reason *shot repeatedly then beaten with a cucumber*)
But yes, I would say some movies that I genuinly enjoy that others for some reason or another tend not to would be...
Ghost Rider (2007): I really can't see why people show negativity towards this film, I for one find it quite enjoyable, given that may be due to my bias, I was already a fan of both the Ghost Rider comic series and Nicolas Cage even before this movie came out. And while I am aware cage (like all celeberaties) seems to have peopel who hate him just to hate him, I still fill this film gets some undeserved hate, on top of that people are already bashing the sequal (thats not even out in theatres till next Febuary) just becaues of the trailer (which I also found to be quite awesome, lol.) But yes overall I find Ghost Rider to be a fine film, is it the best super-natural action flick, comic book adatpion, or super-hero movie out ther, no, but its more then decent for what it is, and I really could'nt see anyway to make a better 1st film for old flamehead.
Green Lantern (2011) OK while I can understand why this one gets so much negativity, I stil lfind such to be abit over the top and unfounded. Yes its no Batman Begins, and the realationship between Hal Jordan and ...what ever the gals name is (sorry I can never remember her name, lol) did feel forced, and phoned in. But overall I found Green Lantern to be quite an enjoyable film. But again maybe I'm to leniant as I was just glad to see a DC character aside from Batman or Superman on the Big-screen for once (seriously DC, Marvel has been pimping their characters for years, yet all you've given us on the silver screen till now is Bats & Supes..c'mon!)
But yeah, While I can see why people dislike this movie, as it is pretty much average overall, I personally don't think it deserves all the hate it gets. And heck, its still alot better then the last three x-men films that have come out (seriously why is it so hard to make a good flick for the X-men, there one of Marvel's premire teams, c'mon Fox, get your act together!)
But yeah, those are some films I enjoy that it seems others dislike, how about you guys, what are some movies you would put in this catagory? And why?
I'm not sure how many I liked that others disliked a lot. Maybe Airheads; it seemed to get low rating and not liked so much. I might have liked it more because I was young when I saw it, although it does have Steve Buscemi. I saw it again not too long ago, but I'm not sure how much of my liking it was from nostalgia, but it was kind of fun hearing Beavis and Butt-head call in to the station, again.
Ghost Rider was okay, but there were some things I was disappointed in. I was surprised when I heard that there was going to be another one, but I'll look forward to it.
I actually quite enjoyed that one Mike Myers film, Master of Disguise but I think most people hated it. I guess they weren't turtle-y enough for the turtle club.
