Just heard about that as well. I'm kind of happy and sad about it both. It speaks volumes that they don't want to just shove this thing out the door regardless of quality, but at the same time it runs the risk of just flat-out being cancelled at this rate. And that's no fun.

First up, a very small (and not all that helpful) but still cool clip of Sean Astin doing Raphael, courtesy of Rob Paulson himself!
I'm so excited for this, but admittedly, I'm pretty conflicted based on this trailer. The comedy seems solid enough (albeit a bit of a miss near the end). The voice-over is a mix as well, Paulsen and Cipes sound great, but I can't tell yet on Leo's VA. Astin's Raph I'm not so sure about either... The CG animation still seems a little too clunky for my taste, but maybe it'll grow on me. The fighting, I'm hoping doesn't ALWAYS cut to a comic book backdrop, or that'll get old fast.
Anyone else have some thoughts based on this?

I used to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when I was little and I even remember going to see the live action movies at the drive in. We also had a very old computer that used the dos prompt commands, and we had a TMNT game for it. Favorite character was Shredder.

But yeah looking forward to the series premiere. The animation still looks kind of weak Imo, but i'm not one who's fickle enough to judge a work soley by its appearance. The new Tron toon isn't all that pretty either but its a great show. So yeah, heres hoping TMNT does well once it finally airs! *knock on wood*
The new series will air at 11 AM on Saturday, September 29 on Nickelodeon (I'm assuming the main channel, not Nicktoons, so far as I can tell). I dunno about anyone else here, but I cannot wait - though I'll have to DVR it as I'm sure to have to work that day. They're going to air the first two episodes of what will be a 26 episode first season.
No matter how 'iffy' I am on the show so far, I can't wait to actually get to see it. This is the first time I've been able to follow along with an incarnation of the TMNT from it's pre-release all the way to it's actual release, so that's exciting no matter how this turns out.
And double post for a new trailer, this time Leonardo-centric. Gotta say, everything looks a little more smooth here, especially the facial reactions. And I am loving the exchange between Leo and Donnie here.
I still don't know what to think of this series, I try not to judge a series by its appearance, but meh...its a bit hard here. I just don't care much for the style/aesthetic. I did like the op & ed music however, even if the animation in the OP didn't match the beat of the song that much imo.
I'm still looking forward to it overall though and will defiantly give it a fair shake.
Yeah, at this point I can say without a doubt that I'm not digging the look or style of the show. The voice cast and the writing seems strong though, so if they're strong enough...then I can deal with the 'meh' look of the show. Much like I did for Shin-chan, but that's an entirely different set of things.
Some more news as well guys. We have confirmation that Dimension X is returning, and is indeed the home of the Kraang...who are also from the future if I recall. Bwah? Also returning is General Traag, and presumably his Rock Soldiers...though Traag is now 17 feet tall and vomits lava. ...Interesting...
Nice and creepy looking, albeit a bit odd - but hey, it makes sense. He's essentially a normal guy living in the sewers in most incarnations, so it doesn't make sense for him to be all buff like he was in the OT. I think this design could work if they do it right.
