Wow, for once I am a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan. I've been watching the first two seasons of the original 80's series through DVD, and for one, I'm happy that season 9 is being released, and two, I'm happy that a new series is coming out, that has good expectations. Hopefully I stay interested in the franchise for a bit longer. Also thanks to the AVGN for talking about it, if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have tried it out.
Glad to see some general interest in the franchise again here too. ^_^
I can't wait for that preview, hopefully it's more substantial than the last one we got and the CG will look better. I really hope it has a few lines from each Turtle too.

I'm mixed on the designs. They look interesting and a lot better than our last look, but Donnie and Raph still have this...weird circle around their head. And Leo's head is so flat. I love the look on Mikey's face though.
definately looks inspired from the original black and white comic book, not the comic based on the cartoon. If that is where they are getting their insperation we can expect a very dark and possibly somewhat graphic series.
I dunno, it'll probably be a little more light-hearted than the 2K3 series since they said they're aiming more for the tone of the old toon, but with action as well. So it'll probably be about middle ground, whichi f done well, would about be the perfect Turtles experience for me. The only question is if they'll do it right.

First off, we have two new VA's announced for this! One was announced a while back but I'm sad to say I completely forgot I'd made this thread. ^_^; The other one only came out recently. Anyway -
April O'Neil - Mae Whitman
Shredder - Kevin Michael Richardson
I can get behind Mae, I think she'll probably do a fabulous April based on what I've heard of her work in Avatar. And that'll hopefully help expand the fanbase with bringing in some Avatar fans desperate to hear some more of her. KMR for Shredder I'm a bit worried about though...the guy's a great VA, don't get me wrong. But this seems a bit too stereotypical. I'm afraid they're going to make Shredder all size and nothing else, since KMR has one of the deepest voices imaginable. At the same time, I know KMR does a 'girly scream' like nobody else, which could be nice for comedy moments - but I'm not sure I want another comedic Shredder other than the one from the old toon. I really want to see how he's going to work as a character in this I guess.
Now, we also have four new pictures of the Turtles themselves.

Overall, they're looking better now, though still pretty rough. I'm not sure how to feel about Don's tooth gap, which apparently is a 'thing' for him so I've read. Loving Mikey's look on his face though. With a little more polishing that they'll hopefully get, this could turn out pretty good still yet.

The foot ninja are looking pretty good so far.
Not too shabby of a fighting scene here either.
What's with Shredder's burns I wonder? And the fore-arm blades are WAY too freking big, gaaaah.
Leo and Raph look okay, but the gap-tooth they've given Donnie is looking to be way more prominent than I would like...
As seen here again on the gap tooth. And oi vay at the battle backdrop style...
Other than them looking a little too blocky,the Turtles are looking better though.

Overall, the artstyle and the CG still looks a bit iffy to me, but it's getting a little better each time we get a shot, so I'm still looking really forward to seeing how this new incarnation turns out.

The new CG series is slated to premiere in Fall 2012, but this July at Comic-Con there will be a sneak peek shown.
