Re: Funi Forums Typical Top 10 CURRENTLY RUNNING TV Shows thread
Sound & Renzo, if you like Destination Truth and supernatural shows like that, have you seen SyFy's Paranormal Witness series? I just found it last night when I was looking for something Halloween-ish to watch and thought it was pretty entertaining. It was neat to hear people talk about things that they claim happened to them or that they saw. The blend of the reenactments and real people talking about them worked well.

Re: Funi Forums Typical Top 10 CURRENTLY RUNNING TV Shows thread
@FireFly, yeah i've been watching Paranormal Witness since the new season started, it actually premiered last year I believe, but the 1st season was pretty short, season 2 has been a lot more fun then season 1 so far IMO, its fun to see all the reenactments. Also fun to judge and see which ones you see are true, and which ones are most likely just people making stuff up. *For example I for one find the story about the haunted ex-funral home believable, but the one about the werewolf ...not so much.* But yeah this weeks ep was fairly interesting, makes me want to go trek down to ol California and visit the Hollywood sign at night someday myself.

Back on topic, sorta, I've kind of done a crummy job of keeping up with Game Of Thrones myself, I heard season 3 was in production, but does anyone know when it will actually start airing?
HBO usually airs their shows in a set rotation. Game of Thrones should start back up in the Spring.

I've seen a couple episodes. Destination Truth on my list is sort of a placeholder for all of Syfy's paranormal reality shows like Ghost Hunters and Fact or Faked.

I saw the werewolf one last night. I thought some of the details were kind of strange. Like how there was the steel chamber with the restraints, but he was still stalking their house? If he went through the trouble of setting up a restraint system, presumably to keep himself from hurting people, then why would he harass the family? Unless it wasn't his, of course, which is still an odd thing for somebody to have setup. And the silver coins that he supposedly left behind was a little heavy handed.
I thought the Hollywood sign one was a little creepy. With reports for pretty much 80 years (or so the show said), it does make me curious, but I doubt I'd ever want to test it out. Walking around at night in a supposedly haunted place ... not really my thing. I'll just stick with movies and TV shows.
I'm going to look up more episodes and start watching it more regularly. Just a little sad that it seems the season's almost over and I've only just found it. I've fallen away from Ghost Hunters after watching it regularly for so long, and I don't really like the style/behavior of the guys on Ghost Adventures. But this one, I could watch this on a weekly basis like I did with Destination Truth (though that's moved to me watching it via Netflix...).

Re: Funi Forums Typical Top 10 CURRENTLY RUNNING TV Shows thread
I don't have much here for currently running shows, older shows from when I actually watched "TV" I could list - but they don't count here. So, with my lifestyle being what it is, I really lack tie to watch any shows, and I don't have cable TV or anything, I usually buy certain series on Blu ray, or strem it online - if it is heavily recommended, otherwise, the only actual "TV" I watch is when I go to family gathering and it's whatever's on at the time, and it usually goes on food network. Now if this was the old cartoons or old shows no longer running thread, I'd have more to talk about, but for the time being:
Currently running series:
1. Star Wars Clone Wars - I will be buying Season 4 on the 23rd. Now if we could just convince Gearge Lucas to make a simular animated series, or even an all out anime series that takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope - now THAT, would have some amazing storytelling and character development, it's ridiculas that there's so much potential there and Lucas continues to with hold making such a series, a real shame indeed.
2. My Little Pony FIM - thanks to the hype and reading around, I checked the series out, it's a delightful series and has the ability to cheer a person up even after a hard day of working and the rage induced drive home - which by the way is a clear indicator that people, as smart as they are, lack the capability to obey signs that have simple directions on them that are there for their safety - yeah, people going two extremes, too slow: 80km/hr, or too fast: 130km/hr in a 100km/hr zone - thank goodness for shows like MLP.
3. Chopped - a competitive cooking show where judges(who are chefs themselves running their own restaurants, or are big players in the chef trade) taste the competitors cuisine and whoever has the weakest review, gets eliminated each round, the stuff they make is incredible.
4. Iron Chef - it's just great to watch, amazing cooks on there.
5. Diners, Drive ins and Dives - Another food network show, this one has chef Guy Fieri checking out places accross America and tasting their main or famous dishes, just seeing how they make different foods, or recipes is a lot of fun to see.
6. Robot Chicken - I usually watch their sketches on Youtube, an many of them crack me up.
7. Mythbusters - This show's pretty good.
@Soundmonkey44 - Bill Mahr is awesome, what are you talking about - I saw some of his stand up act on Youtube and of course Politically Incorrect, he's pretty funny actually.
Rush Limbaugh is just a fat, useless puddle of goo, so no worries about throwing him under the bus, gravy or butter would probably start oozing out of his head if that happened.
Re: Funi Forums Typical Top 10 CURRENTLY RUNNING TV Shows thread
@Neon: I'm just against radical views in general Mahr is on the radical left politically while rush is on the radical right, I prefer a nice middle ground in all things be it media, politics, science, society, religion, etc, etc and so so on. So many people these days in television, politics &/or real life are so far to one side or the other, it makes me wonder how we can even still function as a society. But again thats off topic so I digress.
Back on topic, Yeah Robot Chicken can be pretty dang funny at times, I still laugh every time I see the Ted Turner/Captain Planet Skit, or the Apocalypse Ponies XD.
