Disney to Remake Snow White.... As A Ninja Movie?

If Disney hadn't said it was a remake of Snow White then I'd be fine with the idea, the story even sounds half interesting if done right but to try and spin it off as some remake of Snow White? I'd have to agree and just say NO.

Okay that does sound just a little weird.
Then again, I've seen some series and movies with pretty zany concepts that were actually quite good so I'll wait until I've seen the final product to decide how I feel about the project. Sometimes the execution is everything.
However, I think calling it a "remake" is a poor choice of words. Call it a "reimagining." That fits better with the radical depature from the source material.

For some reason, while this is a ridiculous idea to be sure, I can only respond with an eye-raise instead of outrage. Maybe it's because while I objectively see Disney's Snow White as an absolute masterpiece and an integral milestone in animation, I haven't connected to it like I have the Disney films of the 90s (the same could be said of many of the films during Walt's time, except 101 Dalmatians and The Jungle Book). Ah well.
