Thought I would post about a most interesting little rumor I just heard about, since I thought some people here might be interested. Just keep in mind that as of now, it's nothing but a rumor, but one that seems quite possible if not a little bit likely.

I mostly remember these shows from ABC's Saturday cartoon block when I was a kid, but I'm sure a lot of you remember a little block called 'Disney Afternoon', that showed a lot of the best cartoons from our childhoods (assuming you're in my age range anyway ) - Darkwing Duck, Tale Spin, Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, Bonkers, Gargoyles, and so on. There's now a rumor around that Disney XD is planning to revive the block sometime in the near future.

I for one would love to see this happen, as I would LOOOOVEEE to see these cartoons again. I know there are a few DVD sets for some of them, but never the complete series put out. Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles especially, I would watch the hell out of those. And while it's just a rumor at the moment, it would make a lot of sense for Disney to do this.

Let's face it, even with new shows on it, Toonami is a nostalgia block, it was REVIVED by the power of nostalgia, and it's doing pretty well. Over on Nickelodeon, they have 'The 90's Are All That', a block that's also been pretty successful apparently (though they could do to expand it or switch shows out a little more often, and start showing shows that are in the ads but never on, like CatDog...). And even The Hub, that channel is pretty much nostalgia incarnate, with a majority of it's new shows being the latest incarnations of classic brands.

The one little hint of possible proof is this. Disney is adding items of a lot of these shows at some of the theme parks. That seems like an awfully curious thing to do out of the blue, since they never do anything with these shows anymore, don't you think?

So for now, that just leaves a question - if the block returns with classic toons like these, would you guys watch? I know I would.
