I'm very interested to see what they do with it. Avatar was a great series, though I think if the creators had been given more leeway as to violence/mature content, they could have made it even more awesome. I kept getting the impression they wanted to do more with the war, politics and battles.
I kinda wish they'd do a sequel set closer to the main series, like a movie about the whole mystery of Ursa, Zuko's mother.

I loved the original Avatar: The Last Airbender, and I'm deffinantly looking forward to watching the premiere of Korra later this year, my only worry is that people will get their expectations/hopes too high and judge it too harshly in comparison with the original, but meh, i'm probably just being a worry wart.

@Richard: I do believe they had planned to do a mini-series on Zuko looking for his mother or what not, but it never panned out.
But yeah getting back on topic, i'll deffinantly keep a close eye on the Korra website, and heres hoping Nick gives the show proper respect.

I'm definitely excited for this, and I'm one of the few for whom the wait won't have been that long - since I only just recently got to see Avatar.
I'm gonna miss the original show's cast of characters, but I have no doubts that the creators are gonna give us some great new ones too.

Wow, aside from the narrator's voice feeling very out of place with the video, that was a great trailer. Korra's voice sounds good, kinda familiar too. What I'm most interested in honestly though is exactly how the world jumped ahead in tech so quickly and how much of a rule that plays in the series. Probably has a lot to do with Zuko and the Fire Nation, they seemed to be the most tech-centric.

The narrator did kill it a bit, but I think it's one of Nick's general narration guys - it sounds familiar to me for some reason.
The show looks great so far like you said, and that tech is intriguing me greatly. It'll be interesting to see bending working in a world closer to our own tech-wise instead of the more fantasy setting of the original.
