How are the winners determined in the first round of matches? Is it simply the one that gets the most first place votes or is it based on a points system (1st place vote = 4 points, 2nd place vote = 3 points, etc....).

Why are we ranking them then if only the first place vote matters?
I thought that the point of ranking them was that it was done was that it would take into account people #2 picks.

Woo-hoo for Ai Yori Aoshi moving on, but beyond that, nothing else that I wanted to move on did. WAit, I don't see Naruto or Kenshin on this list...are they in match 20? I forget.

If I'm understanding this correctly then shouldn't Negima have one match 2 with 5 first place votes (as opposed to 4 first place votes for Dragon Ball) and also Okami-San should have one match 8 with 6 first place votes (as opposed to 4 first place votes for Pani-Poni Dash)

rosebrook is right, why are we ranking characters if only first place votes count? Dachou, I'd like to know if we can just vote for one character if you're not taking how we rank them from first to last into consideration.
