It's been in the works for a little over a month now guys, and at long last, we're nearing the start of one of the forums most prestigious events - the Best Voice Actor Tournament! Hey, if I don't toot my own horn, who will? 
All kidding aside guys, my original plan was to take things easy this year. Last year's tournament was HUGE. It was fun and it was totally worth it, but man, was it a lot of work and a pain sometimes to keep up with. So after four previous successful tournament runs, I thought I deserved a break. Wait...four previous tournaments? That makes this one year five. The fifth tournament is hardly one to take it easy on is it?
Well, crap.
I'm a sucker for punishment, so I decided to make things a little more complicated this time after all, in the name of playing things up right four our fifth annual tournament! The question then became HOW to do that. Hmm...
Wait, did anyone else hear that beeping? ...Oh. Looks like I'm getting a transmission. Why don't I just...put this on the main screen for us all to see.

(Please note that not every VA that appears in said video are definitely in the tournament, as you'll notice in the main list here.)
That's right guys (and for those of you who can't or won't watch the vid ), for the very first time, I'm throwing CARTOON voice actors into the mix as well!
This is how things are going to work.
1) There will be 8 matches every two days for the first round. This is gonna make round one take quite a while, but with how buggy the forums can be at times, I don't want to overload it with 16 matches all at once.
2) Four of the eight matches will be anime actors (or people known primarily for that if they have done both), the other four will be cartoon actors.
3) The two camps of VAs will be kept separate until a later round where there will be only 32 contestants left. At that point, they'll all be thrown into the pot together. This is to prevent either side from steamrolling the other out.
4) This year, links to the actors profiles will be from their Behind the Voice Actors profiles, rather than their ANN or Wiki articles.
I think that about covers it, though this post is subject to being edited with more info at any given time.
As of right now, the tournament will start about a week from now, on July 8th at 3:oo PM my time, at which time you're all thoroughly encouraged to vote! Let's make this the best tournament yet!

I'm totally going to put in a bunch of support for JK Simmons, because he is awesome.
But I'm a little bit disappointed that Marc Diraison isn't in the anime voice actor section. I mean David Moo is and they both were in 4Kids One Piece but Marc has the extra credit of being a FANTASTIC Guts.
And Marc made it pass the 1st round last year.

As far as the anime side goes, Jessica Boone is a MUST! And if it's not too much to ask, I would very much like to see Kate Bristol here as well (Lynne, Kisa, and Pan
