Well I've watched all of the Tsubasa anime up to the Spring Thunder OVA and I am very confused. The story was flowing nicely up until the OVA where we see the very end of whatever it was they were doing in Fai's world. It seems to me that there was quite a bit of story there that they should not have skipped over.
So here are my questions regarding the manga:
Is their time spent in Fai's world covered in the manga and if so what issue does it start in? (And why would they leave it out of the anime?)
The OVA's were made by a different company than the actual series and only cover specific arcs of the manga. There is quite a bit of story in between Tokyo Revelations and Spring Thunder Chronicle, including the Infinity Arc and the Seresu Arc. Spring Thunder Chronicle begins at the very end of the Seresu Arc and ends just before the final arc of the manga. Unfortunately, there has yet to be an OVA made covering anything past Spring Thunder Chronicle. To answer your other question, the Seresu Arc begins mid to end volume 20.
Ah thanks for that. I think I'll get to reading it since the anime doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
