Re: How would you rate the Manga companies in the U.S?

The only manga company I've ever bought from is Viz Media. I had an issue with my Naruto Boxed Set once and they shipped me a new one and everything. Very nice company to deal with :D

As for their manga, they have a lot of titles to choose from it's true, though I wish they would carry more romance titles lol I'm a hopeless romantic mkay sorry bout that.

Re: How would you rate the Manga companies in the U.S?

Ok lets see ... kitty

#1 Viz manga: Soooooooooo many of my manga come from these guys. I'm a sucker for shojo xD Only thing I dislike about them is their omnibuses (like Full Metal Alchemist, Kekkaishi and Skip Beat), the pages are incredibly thin, and rip easily. They kinda got cheap with it it seems.

#2 Yen Press: I really love the quality in their books. The only reason they aren't tied for #1 is the amount of series I read from them has gone down. I was reading a lot from them at one time, but dropped a number of series, and finished one or two. The only series I continue to go back to is Higurashi When They Cry (and all those "related" series) and Bunny Drop. I was thrilled though that they were able to snag Alice and the Country of Hearts and finish it :D The books are amazing, IMO.

#3 Kodansha: They have more and more series I'm getting into, mainly Fairy Tail, Arisa and Mission of Love (Watashi ni xx Shinasai).

#4 Dark Horse: I really don't own much from them. The only things I really have are the Chobits omnibuses and Cardcapture Sakura, and they are ok, quality wise. They are so large, when reading them, the spine really started to break and there's a massive crease on each book -.- There are a few series I'm interested in getting but until I get 'em, can't really comment lol.

Digital Manga Publishing, sadly there isn't too much I am interested in from them at the moment.
Tokyopop, when they were around, I had a few series from them, but nothing I would *really* go back to if they were to come back the way they were. Only Fate/Stay Night and V.B. Rose.
