I think most like Crunchyroll as I am not sure how popular this is over here however either way I am happy that a new material is coming. I loved the first run and I am more than willing to buy more.
If you look at the character section on the official site, you'll notice a character from the 2003 series. There are three (so far) confirmed characters from the 2003 series: Tatiana, Alister and Dio (which is who I linked). The design for Dio has changed a bit from how we know him from the 2003 series, but I don't think his new look is bad at all.
Anyway, I am excited for the series. The promo video was awesome too.

For some reason, I thought the guy with the eyepatch in the clip might have been Dio, but I guess not. The world that was created in the first series was interesting, so I'm curious to see what they decide to do in this sequel.
No, "Eyepatch" is actually Luscinia. He seems to be a villain of the story, in fact. Also, this new series may not necessarily be a sequel. It seems to be a brand new series, with some of the old characters from the original having roles in this new series.
Okay, so apparently I am really out of touch, as this is the first I have heard of the new series (and BTW thank you, tenebrusmke79, for the links). I am really excited about this, and I am going to have to track down all the info on it I can find.
On that note, I do really wish FUNimation would put the whole series back up online for a while, but that's not meant as a complaint, just a wish. I do really appreciate all that they have put into this site, and all that they are providing for anime fans like me.
Well It looks like an interesting series. I've looked it up and it says its a new series of Last Exile set in a different world with different characters and story than the original. Starring a young girl named Fam, this series follows her throughout the sky.
The character section on the official site has been updated with how Miria would look like as she's animated. She's got blonde-ish hair and blue eyes. She looks really good.
I am excited for the new series coming soon (I wish they'd hurry up and announce when it'll start in Japan).
