I made a similar thread in the Gantz forum.
If the anime continues someday and has more episodes (the upcoming OVA is a start) and Funimation dubs it these are my choices for the new characters.
I've been reading the manga so I've gotten a good sense of their personalities.
I've also taken physical appearances into consideration and matching suitable voices to them.
My choices are also based on listening to work the VAs have shown in other dubs.
I've also selected VAs in the Texas area and VAs who have actually worked with Funimation in the past (being more realistic) and tried to avoid multiple-casting.
If a VA voiced a notable character in the first anime series I excluded them for new characters. VAs who only voiced minor characters, or were additional voices in the first series, or haven't worked on the series at all were eligible.
but first the reprisals of course

Added more characters, now up-to-date with the manga!

I agree with you on very little, but the vast majority of this list is actually pretty good. About the only one I can disagree with is Schemmel as Boris, but then, it's really hard to see (hear) him as anything other than Goku. But who knows? I've been surprised before.
And I agree with you about Vale as Hermit. His voice really does fit him a lot better than Liebrecht's. Liebrecht's was just too high. It's also why I worry about him voicing Lucci in One Piece.
And I'm with you about hoping the OVA is picked up by FUNimation and I'm really hoping the OVA is a herald to a return of the anime.
The rest of the anime has to actually be made before it can be dubbed.
Also, why would you have Patrick Seitz voice the laughing fist? He should obviously have a mexican/spanish accent
He was fine in Unlimited Adventure
Currently watching: Berserk, Fairy Tail, Bleach, Naruto Shippuden, One Piece, Ghost in the Shell, Yugioh: Zexal, Yugioh GX, Gun X Sword
Currently playing: Final Fantasy IX
Sean Schemmel has voiced characters with deeper voices and even teenagers; but no surprise most fans don't know this, Goku does overshadow everything else he's worked on.
I picked him because I think it's in his range and a Russian accent isn't all that difficult (imo anyways).
I know it has to be made first before it can be dubbed (everybody knows that), I did mention that in my post...
You don't think Patrick Seitz can pull off a Mexican/Spanish accent? Or are you saying Diego Carlo's English VA should be someone who actually is Mexican/Spanish with an authentic accent?

I definitely like some of Jackson_H's picks!
If another season was made in the future and when Funimation picked it up I hope they don't get lazy and just slap a "2" onto the title.
Instead of "Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple 2" IMO it should be
Kenichi: History's Strongest Disciple
I think the manga goes by History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi so it's close enough.
I think "History's Strongest" instead of "Mightiest" is appropriate because once YAMI find out about Kenichi they decided to determine the future of martial arts through their disciples (YOMI).
Each of their disciples is ridiculously powerful so when he does defeat them all (still a few more to go in the manga) Kenichi will then be "History's Strongest Disciple".
"Mightiest Disciple" at that point would seem underwhelming.
