Blu-ray Release?

Noticed that this show was produced in HD and that there is already a blu-ray release of this show in Japan.

Was wondering if there was any details on whether or not we should be expecting a similar release in North America from FUNimation. Any details?

Re: Blu-ray Release?

Well, Clannad is now getting a BD release from Sentai.
Kanon, however, is currently in FUNimation's "SAVE" line and IIRC they've stated that once a series reached SAVE it isn't going to get a BD re-release.

Don't understand why is that yet there are Blu-Ray SAVE titles.

Those were all earlier regular Blu-Ray releases that got binned into the SAVE line.

Re: Blu-ray Release?

Still, it would be nice if FUNimation reconsidered their Blu-Ray policy on anime that were put in the SAVE line. All of Key's works are really good, and it would be a shame if North America never got the Blu-Ray versions of both Kanon and Air. I'm personally waiting for a Kanon and Air Blu-Ray release in North America. Eventually, I'll just pick up the Japanese copies if nothing pans out in a few years.
