Takumi has amazed everyone with his Eight-Six as it keeps up with Keisuke Takahashi's FD RX-7, and he manages to take home field advantage and claim victory during the five hairpins. As a result, Takumi and Natsuki get to go on the beach date, while his rivals and friends are left to analyze what happened. Itsuki convinces Iketani that he can get Takumi to join the Speed Stars on the condition that he join as well, even though he doesn't have a car.
