Alright, I just bought season 1&2 and Ikki Tousen was the second anime I watched after watching Elfen Lied. I came to FUNImation because of my love for good english dubbed shows. Anyways I am also still waiting for Great Guardians & Xtreme Xecutor and anything else. I support shows I want to see more from and I hope someone from FUNImation will see this post.
Some anime fans have no patience, it will be released when it is ready to be released
Yes, you're right, and we know they'll release it eventually; but it woud be nice if both GG and XX come out this year around late summer, early fall. Besides, Funimation has not released a dub of an ecchi anime since August, there's got to be balance and rotation
I also have to admit, since these animes are a few years old now, I'm been curious as to how they'll sound as English dubs. I just hope they don't get "swept under the rug," so to speak.
@Anime_Hunter, yeah, i get what you mean with your post, and there could be a whole entire list of reasons for the hold up, when it comes to dubbing the Ikkitousen series in English, it's always been cursed.
I remember hearing about all the drama that went along with DD, and now I know Funimation have the rights, or at least streaming rights. But I do really hope that at some point; any point this year they give us at least GG, and even better XX to go along with it.
I also hope the reason for the delay isn't something petty like pandering to the people who complain about ecchi anime, or the people at Funimation wanting to avoid working on this for as long as possible because it's an ecchi anime. Honestly, if that's the case, that would piss me off becuse to me it is downright immature on thir part - if that's the case. However, if there are a few licensing details taht need to be ironed out, or something like cover art, or waiting for the special to pass over, that's cool, those are real reasons.
Lastly, as far as ecchi animes are concerned, this one here is one of my favorite franchises; obviously the fans service is very well done, but the action, character development, dialogue, comedy and story are the bread and butter of this show that makes a viewer want to keep coming back for the next episode. Just as an anime, it is quite remarkably good.

And this won't help it get released faster.
I can wait doesn't stop me for wanting it though
