Re: FUNi licenses Great Guardians & Xtreme Xecutor
Concerning the dub cast. It would be a lot more logical if Funi outsources XX to S1's cast because of what they did with DD and GG by dumping that cast. If Funi decided to in-house dub then it would complicate things even more. So the most logical thing to do is to outsource XX to S1's cast and redub DD and GG to S1's cast.
Re: FUNi licenses Great Guardians & Xtreme Xecutor
Media Blasters never began dubbing Great Guardians and Funimation can't re-dub Dragon Destiny since Media Blasters still owns it.
New Generation Pictures who dubbed season 1 primarily does video game work now (which pays better) and only does the occasional anime project like Hellsing: Ultimate.
A friend of mine who asked a Funimation staff member at a convention was told it's most likely the dubs for Great Guardians and Xtreme Xecutor will be done in-house with Funimation VAs.
Makes sense since
1. it's cheaper than outsourcing
2. Some of the VAs from season 1's dub don't even work in anime anymore. Would they return JUST for Ikki Tousen?
3. The Funimation voice actresses have plenty of experience dubbing ecchi shows
4. Carrie Savage can still voice Hakufu (she works for both New Generation Pictures and Funimation)
I hope Funimation announces the license for the movie at NYCC

@TTK500: Your link directed to a German company that distributes anime only in Germany, so it hasn't been licensed in North America yet.
@EyeofPain & lazyanimedude: Or, re-dub everything in-house. From what I head on reviews the dub of s1 was crap, so Funi could re-dub it for better. The same can be said with Love Hina since that dub was also crap and Funi should redub it for better (not to mention get the OVAs and Specials and release them).

I glanced over them, and it just looks like Carlos really hated the show, not the English dub. He even stated that a lot of work obviously went into the dub for volume 4, but didn't like the content of the story itself, thus, 'F's.

And now you're just being bitter, Domayv; doesn't really encourage people to hold a conversation with you.
