Loved the whole series and would love to have more. I saw somewhere that the director of DxD just signed on for some new series, so that doesn't sound promising if thats the case. buying the DvD for SURE when it comes out.

Issei goes to crash Riser's engagement party...courtesy of Rias's big brother, the current 'Lucifer.' That was pretty awesome of him.
Aww. Asia was so happy to see Issei conscious again. She really wanted to actively assist, but as Issei had her stay, she instead had Issei promise to come back with Rias. [though she did still lend some major assistance...as we later see]
Riser is so conceited. Putting Rias in a wedding gown just to hammer her resignation into her. -___-
Loved Issei's awesome entrance at crashing the party, even knocking out a couple of guards.
And then Akeno, Koneko, and Kiba all take out the reinforcements that go to grab Issei...which was awesome. I also liked the shot of the three smiling as Akeno finishes her words of encouragement to Issei. :D
I loved when Issei declared that Rias's virginity was his, prompting Rias to blush. lol
Rias's older brother than makes a full appearance and reveals he's the one who gave Issei this opportunity as a means of entertainment.
Issei's fight against Riser was just plain awesome. Especially loved that Dragon Armor [Too bad it's only a ten-count tool] and the clever use of holy items he acquired from Asia.
And there's her assistance I previously mentioned. That really was a great idea...and Issei wasn't even harmed by them due to having sacrificed his left arm for that of a dragon. That final punch with the holy water/crucifix combo was a great finisher that was oh so satisfying to see.
Riser's sister goes to defend her brother and Issei basically proclaims his victory.
Rias's brother declares it over and since the compensation Issei requested from him as the winner was Rias...Rias was saved from an unhappy marriage with a complete jerk.
I thought it was funny how Koneko caught Issei when her, Kiba, and Akeno zoomed up on their wings...and then she tosses him down to be caught by Rias. Hahaha!
I have to admit...That Griffin Issei and Rias were given to ride was cool. :D
And so they promise to meet the others before taking off. It seems things worked out the way Rias's brother was hoping for as well.
The next scene was just plain touching. Rias feels bad that Issei went to all that trouble just for her..but he assures her that he'll have no problem sacrificing other parts of himself if it'll mean saving her from future troubles.
Rias then gives Issei her first kiss..and what a sweet kissing scene it was. [Issei certainly agrees. :P]
And to top it off, Rias is moving into Issei's house to live with him. [You could just see the jealousy on Asia's face]
Liked the epilogue. Akeno and Asia work to restore Issei's arm while Koneko watches and chows on a hot dog, Kiba witnesses Issei and his pervy friends being chased by what look to be female members of a Kendo club...and finally Issei goes into a mental monologue on how he knows Rias is 'the one.'
All in all, a very enjoyable season finale. I can only hope that more volumes are adapted. [These 12 episodes, which is about half of a J.C. Staff Light Novel anime season, only adapted the first two volumes out of eleven]

It was a good ending if this happens to be the end of this anime. But I do hope we get to see more of the light novel being shown in the anime with another season.

It was a good ending if this happens to be the end of this anime. But I do hope we get to see more of the light novel being shown in the anime with another season.
