Will the prequel manga to Hellsing ever receive a English release? I know that it remains unfinished and that the chapters will be animated into the Hellsing Ultimate OVA series, but it'd be interesting to know if it will ever be printed outside of Japan (maybe as an extra in Drifters?). Anyways, this thread can also be used to discuss Hellsing the Dawn--the story, the characters, why Alucard is a girl, etc.

Hellsing the Dawn question

I hope it gets an English release, I don't see why not.
"The Dawn" is gonna be on the Japanese release of Episode 8!
I wasn't expecting this at all, guess that why it got pushed back.

I heard before that Hellsing the Dawn was going to be animated as a part of the OVA series. Has Kouta Hirano wrote more chapters for Hellsing the Dawn or is it still on hiatus? I'm also getting sick of waiting for the English release of 5-7 so I might just watch those subbed.

That would be awesome. @ Hyde I would reccomend going ahead and watching 5-7, its well worth it. Although I would think the dub will be coming out soon, in light of release of episode 8. Only 2 more to go after this. Hopefully we won't have to wait so long for 9 and 10 this time.

Well he's not writing it they are taking his notes and manuscript and will be forming a story line from it.

I would like Kota Hirano to get back to working on Hellsing: The Dawn so that the anime of it can not only be dubbed, but Dark Horse Comics could release the Manga to Americans as well.
