I am going to wait until the anime it all the way online to watch the rest of the series, but I will say this, this was a good Taniguchi series. I liked what I saw up to a point.
This is one of my personal favorites. It has flaws, but I loved the major characters and I liked the quirky sense of humor.

I wish there'd been a tiny bit more wrap-up in the last episode. I wanted to see a little more about Van and Wendy's relationship after the time skip. I do think the ending implies that they'll be together, and that's great (yeah, I was rooting for Wendy rather than Pricilla), but what I was really hoping when I first watched the series was that we'd get to see a wedding at the end. That way, Van's story would come full circle, from the tragic wedding disaster before the series to a more successful union at the end.
I completly agrea with Megaturtle with the ending.

I watched through the whole first season and from episod one I thought that in the last episode it would end with Wendy and Von (excuse me if I misspelt) would end up together to wright the wronge that was done to Von's first wedding. If there is a second season I hope they will be together and not leave us with a cliffhanger like they did.
@ 775lis7 -- Unfortunately, since the series came out in 2005, and the people involved moved on to other projects, it's not that likely that there would be a season two. I wish they would make an OVA or movie that wrapped up those loose threads about the ending, but I don't want to hold my breath waiting for that to happen.

It sounds like you had the same reaction to the first episode that I did: wanting Van to end up with Wendy from the first time that she offered to be his bride. The very first time I saw the pilot, I remember thinking "he says no now, because she's too young, but maybe he'll marry her when she's older." I know the ending doesn't say for sure what happened, but I like to assume that he did end up marrying her. At the very least, that reunion when she's older makes it possible for them to be together.
Ahh i did not relize when this acutualy came out. so i do see what you mean and would like to see at minimum it get redone with current anima graphics (for actions at least) .But hey I'll stay optimistic and wait for the day when an armor comes from another planet and attacks thretening the way of life that has been established over maybe say 10 years? Anyway getting back to the othher half If it comes down to it I will attempt to attain the right to the name or at least names of characters and use *armor* for what are esentualy mechs, and how Van's come down from a satalite base.
I will look for those like us to that came to the same ending and bring ideas together for an anima of the groups own(if it doesnt come back).
The one thing I love about the final episode is when he cut the claw man in half. It was alittle sad that Ray died without being able to fufill his "dream". I know Josh and Yukiko are moving Rays armor, Carmen 99 is trying to get money, Wendy had that restraunt, but what about Priscella, the El Dora 5, and all those people Van helped out for money. The ending left alot of quetions for me. I also want to know if Van found another Adventure.
I strongly agree with MegaTurtle2011, more closure with Wendy and Van would be great. Funimation, I want you to know that you should make a second season of Gun X Sword. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! Post on this page if you agree with me.
I don't see this getting a second season, maybe a movie although at this point that is kind of unlikely as well. (Trigun has me hopeful that other older shows will have a movie release.)
I would have liked to see some more closure at the end but anime seems to be more open ended then a lot of American TV shows that are allowed to run their course. With the way the ending is now you can decide for yourself how things actually go. Von and Wendy could get together...or Von can have completely forgotten about her and is actually traveling with Priscilla. Which ever you prefer.
