Re: What I hate about gaming and why

@neon good post. My only issue of trying to buy games is just getting someone at Walmart to open the case for me. Which is why I sometimes go to Best Buy or Fry's but I have found that I get helped pretty quick at Walmart when I go at 4am or so.

My biggest complaint is the emphasis on online play. It is getting hard to find a good single player game specially when it comes to FPS. It has gotten to the point where I just stick with certain titles. BioShock, Fear, KillZone for FPS and Final Fantasy for RPG (although Final Fantasy has gone down hill in my opinion from the days of Playstation.) I don't really like playing online because there are enough rude people that they ruin the experience. I don't care if I get told I stink cause that is usually the case. I just want to have fun and I don't want to listen to some kid talking smack cause he sits at a respawn point or somebody that makes me have to mute because they are blowing a horn into the speaker. On top of the people I do not have good enough internet to play without lag so there is no real point.

So that is my problem I don't want to and can't play online but there is no real point in buying many of the games because so much content or gameplay is online only.

What happened to the days of just fun games to play? (Super Nes I'm looking at you.) Because of these issues I'm most likely not going to buy any next generation consoles.

To end on a good note though, that would increase my spending money for things like Anime.

I think you really do point out pretty much most of the stuff that bugs most people. The one thing that bugs me more than anything though is when people who use mods and/or glitches in the game try to talk trash. I can be a sore loser at times, I won't deny it but when you're glitched inside of a wall and get 30+ kills in CoD or something, please don't try saying I suck. It's blatently pathetic and just annoying to have to hear, especially when somebody else just starts bitching right back at you. I might get completely pissed at someone doing that but I won't yell at them or anything. What's the point? It's just some random person you'll probably never see in another match again and there's practically no chance of meeting them in person and even if you did, who cares?

Re: What I hate about gaming and why

I hate people trying to call a game an RPG just because it has xp in it. Sorry dude, Borderlands is not an RPG, Call of duty is not an rpg, Dead Island is not a bloody rpg. I also hate that the traditional rpg genre hasn't been putting many games lately. Even Long standing franchises long Final Fantasy can't really be called traditional rpg's these days. Bring it back companies, let's see modern day Secret of Mana, Modern day Legend of the Dragoon. Modern day Chrono Trigger. That's where we need to get back to.
