In a more modern time, I LOVE SW Battlefront. I swear Haruhi wished for me to find happiness when I got that game. Just give me a standard Battledroid and I was destroying the scourge of the Republic for two games and thousands of hours. Knights of the Old republic one and two are to this day the only RPGs I ever finished and really fueled a love for the Old Republic era of Star Wars.

Has anyone played any of the Star Wars table top RPG games? I luckily got to be in a campaign that I worked my way up to a Jedi Sentinal and was able to be a self righteous prick that destroyed the Sith because of a religous fever. Be afraid of the spanish Inquisition when they have Lightsabers and the force LOL!!!

In Battlefront, I was also usually on the side of the Confederacy of Independent Systems as a Sniper droid. I think the only time I usually go with the Republic was on Kashyyyk, I found a place on the beach where I could lay on my stomach by an ammo droid and health droid and snipe incoming enemies; makes me a small target but usually instant kill because it'd be a headshot.

I've never played the tabletop RPG's but I've wanted to. Some of the Star Wars books like Tales from the New Republic used scenarios and characters from the table top games like Inquisitor Treymane (really cool villain character).

As far as Star Wars games I truly love, I'd have to say that they are few and far between. Return of the Jedi for the Atari 2600 and Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga rank among my absolute favorite Star Wars games ever, Episode III on the first XboX was great but only for 1 on 1 lightsaber duels (the core game was boring), and I liked the Rouge Leader game for the Gameqube, other than that I've never been a fan of Star Wars games despite being a HUGE fan of the 6 films.

I liked some elements of the story mode in Revenge of the Sith since it introduced a few characters that were cut or regulated to minor positions in the final film. Cin Drallig, the Jedi swordmaster, is visible in the final film only in the hologram Yoda and Obi Wan see of Anakin killing Jedi. I thought Drallig and his apprentice were probably the most challenging bosses since they happened one after the other, sapping your health. I liked Rebel Strike more then Rogue Leader because it fixed the probably of the Slave I. In Rogue Leader, Boba Fett's ship is slow, poorly shielding, and handles like a drunken Bantha; it's only saving grace is the cluster missiles. I could only successfully use it on the Kothlis mission, and only for the first half of it for the approach to the Star Destroyer and I'd have to switch vehicles. Rebel Strike also has the added bonus of having Rogue Leader as a co-op campaign in multi-player.

Re: Star Wars Videogames

I really wish LucasArts would bring back or at least rerelease the older Star Wars PC games like the X-Wing series. I remember playing X-Wing Alliance at a friend's house and liking it a lot, and I know many people still love playing X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter. If GOG can get LucasArts titles at some point I'd love to get those games. The Battlefront series needs a comeback too.

I'm not impressed by the Star Wars Kinect game. It sounds like it'll be mostly lightsaber and Force combat, and I like having space combat in a Star Wars game (although I'd like to play KOTOR sometime)

If there's one Star Wars game I wish would get released it would be Trilogy Arcade. Unfortunately it's probably never going to happen, which sucks because it's a great Star Wars game and a great arcade game. The lightsaber duels are annoying, consisting of moving the joystick quickly in directions on the screen, but the rest of the game makes up for it. I've yet to see someone who can beat it on one credit, because the lightsaber parts are quite tough and some of the space parts basically end up coming to "shoot the TIEs before they shoot you" half the time. The assist feature never seemed to help either, it just summoned Y-Wings or B-Wings depending on the mission and they wouldn't always help with shooting down TIEs...I really know too much about the game.

Oh, and Lego Star Wars is awesome. Especially if you play co-op, have your friend be Jar Jar and then purposely kill him over and over.

I haven't played Rogue Squadron, but I would love to because I like space combat games. If Factor 5 wasn't pretty much dead we would have gotten a new Rogue Squadron on Wii...
