So side by side comparison, what game did you like better, Portal or Portal 2? Even though you can't really judge them on the same level
I agree they cannot be compared really but I will give a general comparison. I feel that almost every aspect of Portal 2 was better with the only exeption maybe being the comedy. I think Portal 2 may have had better comedy overall but there were moments in Portal that were slightly better to me, such as the ending song. I have to say my favorite quote is from Portal 2 from Cave Johnson though.

I agree that while being sequel and prequel respectively it's truly hard to compare the two on the same scale. But if I had to choose one or the other I'd have to go with Portal 2. I think what Canine224 said is true about the comedy but I think that's largely because we came into Portal 2 expecting some of the humor with Glados unlike Portal. I think that being said is also one of the reasons Cave Johnson has come across as a fan favorite because we had no idea what to really expect from his character.
Well I need to get a few trophies for this games still but most of the ones I need require the PSN to be up. Once it gets up I would like to know if anyone would be willing to help me with them. If someone here would help I will need them to not have played online co-op yet. At least I can play with people who have a PS3 or people playing on PC through Steam so I have a bit more selection to choose from on getting the trophies.
I'd volunteer to help out however I already beat the co-op with a buddy of mine the old fashion way since PSN has been down sorry.
But the co-op is fun so look forward to that!
Haha, I have beat it too. I need to play with someone because one of the trophies is that after you have beat the co-op mode you have to play with someone who has never played through the calibration chamber yet, which basically means they have not played co-op yet. Including that and the hugging 3 people on your friends list I only have 3 trophies to get platinum, otherwise I would not really care that much. I cannot stop this close though.
Waiting till June for the psn to be back up just blows. So I played co-op with myself and 2 controllers make for very interesting gameplay doing it this way.
And the best part of the game has to be when you go to the very first Aperture Test area, just reading some of the signs on the wall cracked me up. (You should see how the portal gun used to look like)
Sorry about that, used a unreliable source (gossip circle), anyways yes Sony has said they should have the PSN up sometime this week? And we are all getting a free months of PS+. (at least we're getting something). Again sorry for that false post.
